This is a nightmare. Thanks @Daniel and @DannyR. I'll try some tight corners and see if it makes any noises. Need to replace the droning rear wheel bearing before I'll hear anything though!!!
You've got me worried now @DannyR . They looked the same on a quick inspection and it fitted but now you've pointed it out in the photo it does look odd. I used a Renault part number given to me by mike at Rentech to cross reference against the shaftec part number and they matched up. Renault...
Just replaced my driveshaft with one off eBay. When you buy them from ECP you have a surcharge because they want your old one back. Should I just bin the old shaft or can I take to a factors and get cash for it? Seems a waste and not very eco friendly to just bin it. Even if I won't get cash...
Replaced os driveshaft. All done and dusted before 0830 thanks to the clocks going back! Never mind an extra hour of sleep....its an extra hour of car maintenance!!! Old driveshaft was proper rattly.

I used to have a track/daily 205mi16 with cobra Imola standard width buckets. They were a perfect fit for my 31inch hips but LOTS of people couldn't even get in them! Pretty embarrassing when you've offered someone a lift!!
If you're getting proper buckets (as opposed to recliners) I'd get...
I like this thread. Similar to me! Have had a 172 and 182 in the past. Both immaculate but expensive. I've just bought a ph1 for £500 with all sorts of bad points that need work but I still love it!
Got all the belts and dephaser done yesterday at Rentech. Apparently the tensioners looked like...
