This is where mine sat when I bought my car. It sits slightly above the middle although could be the angle I took the picture.
How far above the middle does yours sit?
I've used C4 and C5 on my alloys and plastic parts - you really only need a few drops but it's very hard to get just get a few drops from the bottle. It works better on some plastics than others but they have come up a treat.
I've also used it on my headlights after using the 3m headlight...

Maybe just my OCD talking but I would put the toolkit in first then then the Turini over the top of it so that the toolkit is under the wheel. Just in case the face of the Turini gets scratched up.
