Hey guys, Has anyone had their harmonic balancer replaced in the 172/182? Or has anyone's harmonic balancer failed completely and snapped? Mine has recently started squeaking upon startup and was wondering how long people have driven their 172s/182s with this squeak happening. Cheers

Sounds like a good idea, Renault service over here is virtually nonexistent.

When its 2 or 3 degreees a snowflake/ice symbol flashes or lights up just next to the outside temp. Acutally the steering wheel outer is perfect... though the right hand thumb grip has started to perish. What was the solution to this besides buying a whole new outer? Did someone ever end up...

Damn hot day here in Sydney... just like England right? This was parked in the shade under a tree! A few other cars ambient temp displayed 47 degrees also. On the drive home it managed to drop to 41.

Hi guys, What are the best quality clear side repeaters for a Mk2 172? Is there a particular ebay store that sells the better quality items? Ones that wont go yellow with age, or leak?? I have enquired here (Australia) and Renault want AU$104 (43 GBP) for a pair! So I would like buy some of...

Hi guys, Does anyone know what is bent that makes the passenger seat ratte? Can something be welded or bent back and reinforced to stop this rattle without replacing the runners? I have searched and found numerous reply's saying to replace the runners, but plenty say the rattle comes back...

Thanks for the positive comments! Standard ride height... for now, would like to lower it a little. Dont see many Clio's over here unfortunately. As for the side repeaters, it was like pulling teeth to get a price from Renault over here, eventually came back with the figure of $52.00AU each...

Hi guys, Here's a couple of photos of my 172. So far It's got brembo's, DS2500's, carbon splitter, remus exhaust, K&N filter, 17's and a few other bits and pieces. Enjoy.

I put some DS2500's in yesterday, have not heard a squeak yet, maybe its to early to tell though.
