a few weeks ago my dad picked my car up from Renault after having some warranty work done on it and while he was waiting he sat in a new 197 that was in the show room. He said that it looked more updated inside and out but did look a bit wider and longer which I think it is and made it feel like...
Could it be the cabling in to the starter motor. I know that there is a thick live cable but is there also a small lead that makes the actuator move and thus engage the starter pin on to the fly wheel. Is this is not engaging then it may not send the power to the live feed to turn the motor...
Did mine last night. Ended up inserting a nail down the middle of the cable which then made it more ridged and thus easier to push through the grommet. then just cut the cable off with the nail in afterwards.
