I went to see the car a couple of weeks ago and the fella selling it tried to pass the spluttering and backfire off as dirty petrol. Took it for a spin, had to rev the car hard to clear it, seemed to do the trick. It was also crunching in 2nd gear.
Viewed it on the weekend, didn't buy.
I don't mind buying cat d cars as long as they've had a good repair and were in excellent pre accident cond\ This was crap, bad repair, scuffs & dinks all over. It looked like it had a tough life.............
