I don't get the hate either. It's like battlefield with a star wars skin, which isn't unexpected considering they're both by Dice. I don't see what's not to like.
Will tide me over until battlefield 5 comes out, 4 was getting a little bit stale.
Just buy a NAS drive and a raspberry pi. There will be no issues with the transcoding as the pi does it. If you've got an Xbox one you could use that instead of the pi.
Just my opinion. Album art etc doesn't really bother me, but I can see why it matters to some.
Got my sky box and surround sound running though through the Xbox with one guide setup. Means one box controls everything and I can control the lot through smartglass on my tablet.
Swings and...
I used one for a long time and was really impressed with open elec. However they are pretty much obsolete since the Xbox one media player was released imo
How come everyone seems to be using plex? Surely a better setup is a nas drive with either a raspberry pi or an Xbox to pull the media from it? Removes the need for a pc running plex entirely
My bad on the date, I meant 2016.
Hard line in reality is a spin off produced by visceral games and is hardly classic battlefield is it?
Battlefield 5 likely to be produced by dice and released in 2016
It outputs 5.1 over hdmi. You're right in that it only outputs stereo over the analogue sound output.
Not an issue for me as I simply run it through the hdmi input on my receiver. Even if you're stuck with optical you can buy converters that strip the audio from the hdmi and convert it to optical.
This is exactly the issue I'm having. Power the system up 1st inserted game plays fine but as soon as I put in a different game I get the error. Restart system and repeat.
Where have you been hearing about other people with the same issue? Friends or online forums etc?
That's what the guys at Microsoft support are saying. Some of the words on my home screen are also in Polish lol.
Spent all morning back and forward between Tesco and Microsoft, because the b******s were trying to fob me off with a recon console.
Finally spoke to a guy who seemed to know what...
From what I can tell yes, this explains it quite well

May never catch up though, who knows. Microsoft appear to have a console that is difficult to code for, much like the ps3
In your opinion it's the better controller. Like I said it's down to personal preference. I don't like the way the sticks are located next to each other on the ps4 controller.
Also don't take my post as me being a fanboi. The resolution stuff is a let down admittedly, all I'm saying is that...
I weighed up the resolution issues before buying the Xbone and decided I'd rather have the Xbox controller and suffer 720p that have 1080p and suffer the ps4 controller.
Down to personal preference I guess. Apparently developers haven't yet used the ESRAM on the Xbox to full effect hence why...
I was thinking about this. When you pre-order on the GAME website it appears to be for delivery only. If you want to collect you can only pre-order in store?
I think it's looking pretty bad for Microsoft. In my case most of my Xbox live friends list is leaving for Sony.

It's horses for courses. As I said earlier the only console I currently have is the 360 however I jumped to Microsoft from having a PS2 previously.
Microsoft have annoyed me this time around with things like kinect and no 2nd hand games. I swap a lot of games with mates and quite often buy...
Well is hasn't been released on anything yet, but yes it is a PS3 title. However lots of reports stating that it will come to PS4, if not GT7 obviously will.
Launch titles mean very little really. Most of the games I play are cross platform - battlefield, COD, assassins creed etc
Coupled with...
Exactly this. No DRM, no restrictions on used games, cheaper and doesn't come boxed with a shitty motion sensor.
I'm definitely jumping ship. Bye Bye Xbox....
The answer to that would be no. Please explain how something is a conspiracy theory when it has been proven to occur? So you're denying that the NSA are guilty of anything they've been accused of the press recently?
