From what you're saying Kelv, you might want to look at Penske and Ohlins too, I'm sure I've seen racers with kits from them on. I'm sure someone on here (Godspeed I think) has recently bought a Reiger kit too.
I'm not sure if Nitron do a clio kit, but might be worth a phone call?
At the end...
Pretty much everything that's been said so far is right, but if you're looking at KW's for a track oriented car I'd go for the two way competition kit.

They're £££! and they've gone up since I bought mine, but these are the best...
Cake? you had cake? I only got tea...
Seriously though, it was good to meet you and Chris, that car will be an absolute weapon once it's done and I'll be interested to see how you get on!
That's sat in my dad's garage at the moment, had to save somethin for updates..
Thanks mate, that's the plan at least!
Cheers, I'm not sure you can call it practical mind, but I know what you mean ;)
I can't take the credit unfortunately, but it definitely does go!
Same here, have to...
No worries Chris, I'm sure there'll be another chance to get out in it. Nice to meet you both too.
With the catches, Fred's going to make a bracket to fit, just need to get the plate and filter from Matt first. He did tell me what it is, but I've no idea now.
To be honest, I'll probably end up...
The ecu ought to be fine (I hope so anyway I've sold it to iceman for his 24hr car, but I've told him any problems and I'll sort it out) The reason for going EC1 was to keep the dash working properly, it worked out cheaper than a digi dash. The loom's a different story.. All I'll say is bullet...
Thanks everyone, it was always going to be balls out really, I've been buying bits as and when I could and then saving them up. I never see the point of doing things quickyl/cheaply, I'd rather save up and do it properly. Freds works been flawless as you'd expect, he's had the car pretty much...
I'll be living just outside Skipton, but there's a few of my mates in Manc so I'll be in and out.
Ha, even Fred said he'll miss it, I'm not sure next door will miss him reversing in and firing flames at them..
The work's perfect as you'd expect, even the details. The heat shield that Sam...
I've owned this from completely standard, when it was just under three years old in 2006.
I never started a project thread since I knew I'd never keep it up to date, and as it's been going on for the best part of five years, it might have been a slow read...
Anyway, the cars at a point now...
Cheers dude,
With the first one, I was trying to have the reflection on the face in focus, the background is thrown out with the dof. I find that the reflection draws me into the picture and quite like it, but wondered what other people thoughts.
The other is actually shot quite low, at least...
As above, fisheye is the way to go.
The cheapest (if you get on with manual focus) seem to be the samyang/Rokinon etc ones, they are all made in the same factory and I've seen people getting amazingly sharp shots with them.
You can get looms from Omex, I think you can get some ready built, or unterminated to finish.
I'm looking for around £500, which is what Matt at TDF said it should be worth (£850+vat new)
I'm in Lincolnshire, but the ecu's in Fred's workshop...
