Milwaukee are ok, my m12 one broke after 2 years and I'd already replaced a spring in the bit holder about a year before that.
I've got some 18v bosch ones that must be 10 years old that are still working.
That didn't stop me buying a new m12 one though they're just so light and handy.
My dewalt gear has been more reliable than my milwaukee shite to be fair. Battery charger for the milwaukee packed in yesterday and bits fall out of the shitty chuck on my impact
I picked up a set of these a couple of months ago, £20 ish on Amazon, didnt realise how much of a difference decent Allen keys make when you're doing awkward jobs.
Same as mine apart from mines 5ah battery, got the twin pack with the Brad nailer too. Brilliant gun, slightly heavy but far more reliable than gas guns I've used in the past.
I use the m12 almost daily blowing off my saws and cleaning up, brilliant for cleaning up sawdust at an empty site but not used it for much else really.
No, festool are more a show off tool, for people who wipe down their tools at the end of the day and care for them like babies 🤣Some of their stuff is fantastic, I've got one of their plunge saws and it's never missed a beat, but some of their other stuff isn't as robust as the equivalent Bosch...
Overpriced, maybe not junk 🤣 I'm only winding you up, I prefer my bosch stuff but that's because I'm a joiner not a mechanic. If I needed the ratchets etc I might be tempted to try milwaukee.
Just make sure you use the guard, take shallow cuts and dont put your hands above the blades. It's so easy to lose a finger with a planer/thicknesser. Scares me everytime I use mine, nearly as much as my spindle moulder does 🤣
