most sensible thing i've read so far! no point in posting this in the ctr forum, all you would get would be the same comments made here but in reverse!
in terms of car size yeah the civic is bigger, but performance wise there is very little between the two due to the clio being lighter!

im not sure it falls into the same group as the meg 225.
The megane is a turbo for one and i would think its rivals are more like the focus st, leon cupra r, golf gti etc......
the clio, ctr, focus st170, 206 gti180 are more on the lines of being rivals!
but then everyones opinions are...
buying from a dealer is the best option as you have some come back if things go wrong! but you will be paying more than buying private! also make sure you get a cup!
Will do Ally! just dont understand why people get so offended of other peoples opinions on cars! End of the day they are very evenly matched and it falls down to personal preference!

doesnt really matter what they drive at the end of the day! i was looking at getting either a 182 or a ctr i ended up with the civic because i got it for a bargain price but would of happily had a 182 any day of the week just...
i gotta admit i dont think in the real world the type r would pass the clio that easy my mates stays with me all the way! the mg zs isn't much cop tho!!
rotrex superchargers get used on loads of different cars from saxos to type r's so im sure its easily possibe for a competent clio tuning company to fabricate a kit to fit your car.
I ran a 14.8 in my CTR earlier this year at the pod with an aem cold air intake being the only mod! i know its not a clio but they are pretty much bang on with the power to weight ratio so it should give you some idea of what you can achieve!
