Wrong section but i'll reply anyway. I just bought Pagid fronts and Max groove disc for the front. Braking is AWESOME!!! But expensive. This week i'm replacing the rear setup with OE discs and red stuff pads. Never tried red stuff before but fancied a change. The OE stuff is very good...

    Tyre Recommendations

I happily get 10000 - 15000 out of my 205 PE2's. They do understear in the wet if i'm being a complete moron, but generally i'm very pleased with them. With regards to skipping...... i only find this occurs if it's uber dry and i go too fast into a corner. I still get round but it doesn't look...

My preference is also OE with uprated pads. Flash looking discs do look nice but aren't neccesary!

Cheap / lesser known brands of brakes

I was led to believe that refitting an ABS ring is risky as they can be easily damaged. I'm interested in peoples response to this as i'm about to be getting all my brakes replaced soon (by a garage though).

    topical topic - winter tyres.

I got them from Halfrauds, only £55. There is some potential for them to scratch the alloys, but they haven't yet. I don't keep my car showroom clean, so i'm not fussed about scratches anymore.

Took my clio on an alps road trip

I was out in Morzine/Avoriaz from boxing day to the 3rd jan. Then Courchevel for 3rd and 4th. Then spent three days travelling through France on my way back to Calais. I was wondering if i'd get any 'spotted' comments as i drove to various car parks to start all my Skiing. I did get some...

Took my clio on an alps road trip

Music was The Prodigy "No Good" - Alan beat me to it :) The ski footage was Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz and Chatel. Some of the still images were from Courchevel, Meribel and Val Thorens. Also, some of the ski footage was from an industrial estate 150km from Calais

Lowered sports with NO splitter *request*

My splitter fell off. I can't be bothered as yet to replace it, it proved useful not having it in the Alps.
