All I can comment on is what it's like in my S3, It pull's hard from very low down but it does run out of steam pretty fast. I am carrying an extra half a ton over a Clio though ;)
Both of your boxes must of already have popped it's clip before. Neither of of my gearboxes popped the circlip in three years of ownership, even outlasted an engine or two :p
Neither would I saying it's quite a bit more than double my wage. I'm also not classed as a trainee any more and do much more than just desktop support. I could rent a small house if I didn't run a car! It is liveable but not a great lifestyle because of it :rasp:
You will need to just do the final stages out setup like creating a username and password but nothing more. As for using your TV as a monitor you'll need a VGA cable if you tv has this feature.

rear caliper, sills welding, probably emissions again :D and two new tyres. I have spare tyres but the rear wheels are stuck on the hub as the wheels paint is too thick haha! Think i'll be getting rid, seen a S3 in Lincoln today :)
