hey there, just wondering has anyone done a valver conversion into a 1.2 clio. went to get one last night to do it but the gearbox was noisey and it looked like the brake master cylinder was lower on the 16v. didnt have my car there to compare tho. cheers

take the engine out the 19 and put it in the clio

i was thinking about getting a 19 16v and put the 1.8 in her cos they are cheaper and easier to come by. but i think a turbo is the way forward

has anyone done a 5 gt turbo engine conversion into a mk1 clio? was planning doing it so the wifes 5dr would be a bit of a sleeper? ta

spoiler is on now but i think ill wait till the kit is on and its all finished before i post pics up keep you all in suspenders a bit longer doesnt look that bad but i think the door mouldings will go white like the kit and there aint no way its getting pink seat covers/dice/seatbelt pads etc!

got the wheels on the car now. lowered it at the same time so doesnt look to bad. the standard black bumpers look pants along with the standard mirrors. so i fitted some white dtm style mirrors. what a difference a set of mirrors make. going to fit the rear spoiler the day

autoglym bumper care is mint! brings up the greyest bumpers. ive never had problems using that

it must be a female thing to want pink wheels, that team dynamic part pink and part silver ones are horrid. i thought white wheels would look nice on her car but she doesnt like white wheels. one thing is for sure she aint getting pink dice, seatbelt pads, steering wheel cover etc!

its a pretty easy swap is the old 1.2, specially if your a mechanic with all the right tools and an engine crain!!! :cool: the donar engine was already sitting there to fall in tell you what tho, an engine crain with an engine on it is a b**ch to move on stones!

i bought the wife a clio the other week with a very fecked engine, just managed to drive it the 15miles home anyway started at about 5.30pm last night and had another enhine in and started by 9.20pm and thats working in the driveway!! delighted :cool:
