Not bad for 23...That was what I am at 26 (when I took out policy) so above the all important 25!
Car looks great. I looked at an r1 mk when I first started looking at options.Nice bit of kit and nice and light!
Certainly one of the better options available!
Enjoy!

Get that battery shifted to the boot and get that filter moved so is not sucking in hot air!
Made a massive difference on mine as they get pretty hot under the bonnet!
Be a shame to do all that work and leave he filter like that.
Dave
Cheers mate, I had lowered my target to 33seconds for the Sunday until the weather went even more pear shaped so next time out I think that's what I'll be aiming for!
Entered into Alford in July and Fintray again in August.
Have thought about doing Boyndie as well but reckon I'll just stick...
The wife pretty much only took photos of my class as she was in the paddock when I wasn't running.
Small world though...I'll keep an eye out for you next time mate.
How slippy was the hairpin?!
Sunday was murder for me...Couldn't find any grip at all!
Had to bump start for every run on...
I said before I went that I'd be chuffed with anything other than last and if I got under 35 seconds I'd be delighted! Fastest time was 34.92 in the wet so really chuffed!
Hopefully get a track camera at some point!
Managed 4th in the end (just).
A wee bit off the pace of the main boys but was really chuffed with how me and the car went for it being the first time out and REALLY slippy!
Give me a few more outings and hopefully I'll reel them in a little bit!
Dave
Aye, last photo is evidence of my last run which got a bit lairy!
Got a bit carried away with myself as it felt like a quick one and TOTALLY messed up the last corner!
Would've secured 3rd place if I hadn't done that as well!
Dave
A few photos of this weekend courtesy of the wife.
Mostly raining so not the best conditions for my first time out but learnt a lot about the car and had a lot of fun which is the main thing!
Wee bit of understeer...
And a couple of my favourites of my car...
And my favourite...
I love it when people bash his ability on here!
He's rich and loves cars so is doing what a lot of us would love to do given half the chance.
So he's perhaps not on the same level as some of the other guys in the WRC that have got there based on pure skill but he had the cash to get him...
That looks awesome!
Colour comes up great in the pictures to!
Awesome mod on the switch to! Wierd that the motors there but charge for the switch?! You'd think if they were that bothered about charging for the function they'd not put the motor in in the first place? I'm guessing its a...
Aye! Took it to work today and all the blokes who like to pretend they know what they are talking about gathered round.
One of them was stood right beside the exhaust pipe when I started it up and got a bit of a fright lol
Another one tried to tell bme that I had a bike exhaust fitted!! Yes...
Aye,pretty sure that's what's fitted to mine.
That and my fuel leak are down to it being rebuilt so recently I think.Bound to be some teething problemd I guess.
Nice one...I've put a years tax on mine with that exact intention of using at every opportunity! None of this wrapping it in cotton wool nonsence!
Out of curiosity, Have you had any bother with coolant leaking from nearside bottom of radiator where hose is connected? Mine's started dripping...
Probably give me a run for my money till I get the balls to test the limits of the tyres lol
Not had the balls to drive it fast enough to even get the tyres up to temperature yet!
Cheers.
We'll have to get something organised now that the weather appears to be getting better!
Would love to see the lotus, and I guess putting a face to your name wouldn't be 'to bad' either!
Need to stage it round petrol stations though as I have a racing tank fitted...
Dave
Caterham of a decent spec too expensive so I'll settle for tesco value alternative lol
It's running 2.0 XE on 45's and about 350bhp per tonne:D
Properly set up for sprints/hillclimbs so a bit of a handful on the road and I'm still trying to get used to it so the car is miles faster than me...
Had the Westfield out for a couple of blasts at the weekend
Unearthed a fuel leak (now fixed) and a coolant leak (hopefully an easy fix tonight).
Anyway, took a cople of pics on my phone and really like this one for some reason so thought I'd share it...
Cheers,
Dave
Ps...
Loved the wife's when she had it! Great car and sounded great standard!
Sad but one of my favourite things was the fact that the back seat was a bench and there was loads of storage under it!
Dave
Like ali said, there is no need for that much power in this sort of thing.
In fact, I'd say one with less power will actually be faster as you will actually be able to use it!
My westfield has circa 190bhp and weighs about 550kg and it is challenging enough to drive. You'd break out in a...
