Hiya,
I've changed the rear discs and pads on my ph1 172 today.
Was an easy job.
One side of the caliper didn't have a "pin" that holds the piece of metal that slides out to release the pads.
How important is this pin?
Hiya,
I got a 2000 172 ph1, is there any special procedure on changing the rear discs? Ive been reading up on the forum about the wheel bearing. Is the wheel bearing easy to come out?
thanks
jion
Someone else I know has a civic type R EP3, he moans about the car not being able to pull away in a high-ish gear quickly from roundabouts.
Basically f all torque! And what car has he got now? 200SX turbo
My mate owns a 150bhp CRX (b16 engine). Roughly the same power the weight ratio as the 160bhp jordan
It was basically the same speed from 30mph upto 110mph (private test track) as a 106 gti.
If 172s are quicker than 106 gti's then it should pull away from the jordan ever so slightly.
Yours is a nice car dude,
Just out of my price range, I have about 5k to spend, unless you are willing to take 5k for your car :)
At the moment i'm looking for 172 or cat D 182's
I've got a quote for a 182 at 21, 3 years ncd for £761
172 was £666!
Both quote was with tescos. Havent actually bought a clio yet, will have either a 172 or 182 within the next 2 weeks :)
