As stated in the title my passenger side rear brake on my cup isnt moving at all. The handbrake works ok and the piston seems to move fine when we have screwed it in and out. Does anybody have any ideas on what the problem could be??? There isnt any brake fluid leaking either so i dont think...
I think its the driver side top mount or something around there. I think it requires stripping down for a look. Ive seen you black 182 at wight motors. Very nice.
I know there are a few people on here from the island and i was wondering if any of you could recommend a decent garage to take my cup to, as i have an annoying squeek i want rid of and im not prepared to pay the overpriced stealers who dont really have a clue what there upto.
I've finally got my H&R coilovers off, but cant get the damn platforms to move on the front. Anybody got any tips on getting these loose before i sell them?
Apart from that there in great condition. The rear shocks have only done about 6k and i paid £300 for them.
I need to get em free...
They were set up right. I could see the potential in them as they were amazing in the corners if you were on perfect tarmac, but cornering at speed on a B-road was sketchy as you just skipped sideways across the road.
Also putting the power down on lumpy B-roads is impossible because you just...
I wouldnt bother mate. I had H&R's on my cup but the standard suspension is far far better on normal roads.
Coilovers for track and standard for road use
I'm goin back to standard and was wondering if i could use my h&r rear adjusters with standard springs instead of shelling out for new bottom spring seat thingys.
i wanna know this aswell mate.
Can anyone tell me if its worth the £400 for a full set of cup springs when i can get prolines for £150. I dont wanna make a harsh ride as im getting rid of my H&R's which are shaking the car to bits to be honest!
god knows mate. I'll have to work that out when i come to it. I replaced both rear shocks at a cost of £300 about 4000 miles ago so they arent gonna be goin that cheap. Probably around £500
yeah H&R are good on motorways but absolutely useles on B-roads. Gonna change back to standard as you just end up bouncing along roads and constantly loosing traction.
Hard cornering on smooth roads is fun with em though :)
Hi everyone,
I'm thinking about going back to standard suspension on my 172 cup and i was wondering if anybody on here would have an idea of how much its gonna cost?
I bought the car with H&R coilovers so i need new front and rear shocks and springs and and the spring mounting plates for the...
I know this sounds like a stupid question but am i right in thinking that you have to lower the platforms to uncompress the springs to raise your from suspension? Thanks in advance
Go through www.mstuning.co.uk
You should be able to order through them although there really rubbish to deal with. It took me 5 phone calls to get my new rear shock absorber.
Just make them do it there and then or they will try and fob you off by telling you to email them the order etc...
