id advise on this but tbh i dont deal with the ecu side of things so would just be guessing. best bet is just give us a call and ask to speak to andy cornock. he is very helpful so wont mind answering your questions. main omex number is 01242 260656.
someone asked this some time ago. ive not really looked into it tbh but packaging isnt such an issue on the 182 so you would probably find very small gains if any over just running the longer air horns out the front. dont forget if you fit a smaller rad on a 1x2 you can also run with a propper...
umm pass. lol. its at the stage where its all designed and proven and i have jigs made for all the inlet pipes ect, even have 10 pedal kits sat here. its just unfortuanatly another project that i havnt really had time to tie up all the loose ends on to get it to the point of being ready for sale...
yes of course the 182 is a compromise 99% of the time every car is a compromise due to packaging issues. unfortunately that's the way of the world :( yes the 182 is similar, the best results are with running the longer 120mm air horns such as on gdi's black demo car, but again....to do this you...
the development 197 did indeed make it out of the workshop. the owner stills drives it everyday. we just dont really have any contact with him now as he turned out to be...how can i put this....a little difficult.
p.s no Fred i didn't think to move the rad....im just a spanner swinging...
i dont have the test graphs as they where done on our old dyno which we dont really have access to anymore.
i am not guessing at what i am telling you..its very clear..if you put forward facing bodies on your 197 you have so little room that you will have to fit sf bodies wit 40mm trumpets on...
im afraid to say you wont get anywhere near the peak figures your looking for with just itb's. as andy says the midrange figures where very good but peak figures where only up around 10bhp over standard. this was with a very extensivly developed up and over design, if your looking to to run a...
whoops :o totally missed that slight fact. lol. ummmmm yes, ul be needing a 710 then.
you will also need to find a manual pedal that can be made to fit. although the cable routing is a pig as there isn't really anywhere on the 197 to put it through the bulkhead in front the pedal. however...
600 ecu does everything you need. tbh there is no point in running a 710 on that kind of engine unless you really really want to use the data logging function.
600 is about £550 compared to the 710 at around £850.
running the 600 on a standard engine is worth it though. throttle response is...
sorry to hear this :( not really sure what happened there as we where all a little out of touch with who was coming down to us for what cars. also didn't help that there was a little misunderstanding with the organizers about track access first thing in the morning which led to us being around...
yes tbh i didn't really struggle with getting the power down, it was more just lack of grip through the corners.
but as long as you enjoyed it then its all good :)
the black sc car was on ast's and had r888's, the silver sc 172 just had some one off test shocks on it and was on toyo proxy road tyres. (which are now ruined by the way. lol)
which one did you go out in? :)
we have calibrations for some variants of cams in conjunction with itb's. ring Andy at gdi and ask. we may have one suitable for your spec off the shelf so to speak.
we have a fairly good library of maps to cover most variants including ones with cams ect. if you do have something different to what we already have a map for then it is usually minor tweaks and we are usually the people to talk to as we can usually do a good deal for you so we can extend our...
motor factors as in a generic term for aftermarket car parts specialists. people such as gsf, ect. just do a search on yell.com for motor factors in your local area and see what pops up. they should be able to help you out with a non Renault replacement part. :)
what cams are you running on your low boost turbo? our sc is on totally standard 100k engine
edit: sorry i see what your saying now. thought you may have had non standard cams in there.
sc pulls power from the engine yes, but dont forget the turbo acts as a restriction in the exhaust.
this isnt my area at all but from what little i know boost is essentially a measurement of restriction. the turbo sat in the exhaust will cause a greater restriction that the sc as once the air...
pricing was all done on Friday. we are just waiting for final checking and approval from the powers above. hoping for Monday but all depends if the boss is in the building or not that day.
we will supply prices as soon as humanly possible :)
sounds to me like your ecu isnt seeing engine speed correctly and is therefore not disengaging the starter motor as quickly as it should.
could be a faulty crank sensor input or something along those lines. did it not show up any fault codes at Renault?
its a strong possibility. but lets get this one finished and in production before i start looking at charging 197's :S
p.s car has been on the dyno tonight for its first bit of mapping. :)
