I have a decent router with the VM hub in modem mode, been running it for a few years. I get signal 140ft away at the bottom of the garden, also still had it when round at a neighbours house. The VM connection is great as soon as you aren't using their hubs for wifi
It was actually quite difficult to find bits, while lots of design was copied from the Mk2 & Mk3 Golf GTis, the geometry was different. For example, the rear shocks had the same mounts as a Mk2 Golf, but a different length.
I have had a few VAG cars over the year. Started with a rot box Mk3 Golf TDI which I sold on quickly.
Then moved onto a Mk3 Ibiza Sport
Then bought a Mk4 TDi Sport (was rebranded to FR after the facelift, same as the Fabia VRS). It was used for a feature in Redline mag. I owned both red ones...
I want to put some camera up now, thinking of 1 each side of the house, 1 covering the front and maybe one at the rear. Ideally want motion detection along with remote access, ease of use is a must though. Am I best off going with the Eufy system? Or is there something better for the money?
Nothing particularly special, but I bought this car new in 2016, part-ex'd it a year later. Fast forward to this weekend and it turns up on the stand/area I'm marshalling at Silverstone! Spoke to the driver who knew my name, he even wanted a picture of the 2 of us in front of it too...
The Mk7 had a massive improvement in around 2016 due to the new rear axle which was introduced for the ST200 version. I didn't think Ford could go better again with the Mk8 but they nailed it. We have a ST2 with Performance Pack and its great fun to drive, the diff allows you to get on the power...
I thought that might be the case, but you can never tell from just looking at the listings!
Looks like I will have to save up some pennies and go for a branded item then
I have just got a new Moto G5 and looking to get one of the wireless charger adaptors to stop the micro usb port getting damaged (like my old phone) but I can't find any that receive at more than 5W/5V1A - has any companies produced one yet?
If you don't like being on the spanners, forget trying to do it cheaply. Pay for a seat in a team.
Civic Cup - £1600 for a weekend http://areamotorsport.co.uk/racecarhire/
Settings in the camera will let you save to the card.
What 'stuff' is filling the phone up - Is it media or apps? If it is media, then quickest way to move stuff would be to plug it into a computer and go through the file manager. As for moving apps, I think you just have to do them 1 by 1...
How much data does streaming music/radio actually use?
I keep considering it for when I am in the car, but concerned that I will end up using a massive amount of data
That looks decent!
Do any of the cheaper cameras have the option to turn on spot metering like on a GoPro? It only measures/meters the centre spot for the light balance settings, so ideal when mounting in a car
Has anyone seen the Vivitar cameras before? Specs look decent but can't find any reviews but Currys sell them for £89

WiFi is so you can connect it to a phone/tablet and change settings, preview, etc. Can be very handy when setting cameras in in awkward places, you can look at your phone to see where it is pointing.
