Nowhereman,
This limiter is normal at 6K RPM when the oil temp isnt up to normal (even though water temp is normal. Sometimes for me it can take 20-30 mins for the limiter to go to 7200 in winter or if im not driving hard even longer.
Maybe this is the cause?
When I think the oil is hot...
I am in Aus and know of many Clio Sports with weird brake pad wear...
Mine are fine after 23K, but some had shat themselves after 10,000k. Apparently Renault have been replacing these if you kick up a fuss..
Which dealership are you going to?? Good luck. :D
I had the same problem on my car last week when I did a rotation!!!
Couldnt believe it!! I think i will get it sorted under warranty.... But still, how much weight do they really strip out of these cars?? I thought that the jacking point should be the strongest part of the underside???
:(

OK, here we go.....
Normal bulbs are incandescent, which means they have a filament (little wire coil). Most car bulbs are sealed bulbs with halogen gas to help stop the glass from shattering from the heat generated.
Lately they have been using Xenon gas to allow the filament to run hotter...
Guys,
ALL FWD cars suffer from torque steer to some extent. My 172 does torque steer, but it has more to do with the road surface (tramlining) and the tight front end.
Its not fair to compare FWDs with heaps of power to AWD or RWD. One of the strenths of RWD is balanced steering, as thats...

I have spoken to some tyre people who have nearly hung up on me when i have asked fro prices on Hankook et al...

They are about $35,000AUD, which equates to about 10,000 quid. pretty cheap i suppose.
And they are finally in unlimited supply.
Hoorah!
Sean, I see your point. Let him know, and give him my mobile, and get him to call me. Mine has done 13,000k now, so it up for a well good thrashing...

Why would you want to remove the thermostat from the cooling system?? All this will do is cause problems, and stop the ecu from running the engine properly.
Becuase the coolant system is set up to give adequate flow, to prevent from overheating, increasing the flow aint going to do anything...
There have been a LOT of NA cars that have made huge power increases and fuel efficiency increases from running water injection. Many V8s ran it in the 70s from the factory. Lost popularity coz of the filling up the water reservoir, and a hassle.
I believe the thing about only needing it for...
I think there would be adequate room along the front of the engine, where the resonator cast alloy thing is, above the oil filter.
Get the belt happening off the alternator, or A/C belt, and have the air intake come from the normal air box area, through the S/C and straight in as normal...
Kona,
I am thinking of going for a local s/s exhaust for $600, instead of the $1500 QSZ asks. cant be that much better.
Hes handy and all, but way overpriced i think.
I am trying not to cut corners, i am very picky, but sometimes you just have to say that costs too much money
Cheers,
Paul
Kona,
Naa, he said it hadnt come out yet, but I think they only had the 172 stuff.
I think the 172 can make a heap more power before you need to consider cams. esp coz of the VVT.
But the 1.4, not too sure. sorry.
If you want I can always go and actually LOOK at parts for you before you...
Yeah I went to see Simon last week. Very helpful. But so it should be for those prices!!
I had a talk to him about chipping, and his opinion is that its mostly a waste of time, considering how advanced the clio system is. Should be the last mod, even after exhaust, air, cams. He can even put...
Are all these aus clios in Sydney??
I have had no probs with water leakage, but the front headlight washer has spat itself somewhere, and the passenger seat rattles.
Anyone here changed oil by themselves before the 10K service? I have done 4K, and want to do it. Just dont trust that oil from...
