Hello again,
I am planning on putting in some new spark plugs on my clio 172 and have read it is best to use a torque wrench.
I have found one on ebay which is preset to 24nm. I know it is cheap and proabaly quite inaccurate but i am only using it once and i guess it is better than nothing...
They said they used the locking tool.
I noticed my coolant level is just above minimum so could this have something to do my problem? i read on another thread that the revs fluctuating and a loss of coolant could be the water pump or a sensor?
Thanks
i have picked it up from the garage. It is definately much better now than it was before. However now when i stop the revs are about 1000 then slowly dropped to about 8000 then do not move.
Is there a way of telling if the timing is still out?
Thanks for all the help with this.
I have heard back from the garage and they said that the timing is spot on and that a hose had come loose and this was what was causing the revs to fluctuate and the car to almost stall. Does this sound likely or should I be worried?
Thanks
Are there special tools for the cliosport 172?, as i think they are using normal renault clio ones.
Anyway they are keeping it in over night to finish having a look tomorrow morning, so fingers crossed they fix it.
Im guessing they do not have all the correct timing tools for the 172.
They said they will fix it if i get it in writing my another garage/RAC that it is there work that has caused this problem.
I am going to ring RAC now and hopefully get them to look at it for nothing as a garage will cost...
A useless local garage. I know i shouldnt have gone there but they are convenient.
Where do i stand now? Can i get them to fix it or get my money back?
Thanks
Hello,
I had my cambelt and auxillery belt changed yesterday and since i picked it up the car is almost stalling when i come to a stop. The revs are dropping below 10000.
Does this indicate that they have not done the work correctly?
Thank you.
Hello,
Please could someone share their experience?
I have been quoted £400(with change) for a cambelt and auxillery belt kit change.
I was wondering if this sounds reasonable?
Thank you for any advice.
Hi,
I bought a clio 172 a couple of weeks ago and i have got service history for 10,494 miles and 21,835 miles. It doesnt seem anything major has been done i.e. only oil change, wiper change etc.
Now I was considering getting a service carried out as has done almost 30,000 miles now.
Is...
