Its not like your getting massive b00st y0 from fitting a fmic, youll get a very slight increase of power from the cooler temperatures upon compression, but without a map its pretty pointless.
Youll get more gains from putting duct tape over the splits in the bodywork to improve aerodynamics...
are there any other clio forums except for this one? this seems to be directed toward higher powered recent models, with hardly any technical expertise of anything else bar about three people.
I have been supplied this already. I reckon the supplied bolts are for the cat/downpipe connection and they didnt bother with the manifold/downpipe ones?
Yeah, god knows why they would supply bolts that are half an inch shorter than the bloody springs. Ill just pop into town tomorrow and source some longer bolts, its not that much of a problem hopefully.
it has to be the wierdest setup ever though - why do renault use this method? Hey though...
Ok, im replacing my downpipe and bought a new downpipe and fitting kit.

How the hell does this all go together? I realise the gasket is for the cat end, and that the brillopad type thing sits inside the downpipe inlet.
Do i just...
im going to lower it this weekend, pretty happy with pulling the torsion bar out but im going to have to work out a way of actually gauging how low its going, im looking for 60mm all round.
anyway, i digress, i plan to get some lowering springs when i can find some for the right price and was...
not sure, just something a bit more exciting than what i have.
Might just put some blank ones on with a little black renault badge tbh..
You got any your trying to get shot of like? pm me if you like.
im going to take my bumps strips off for colour coding this weekend, do i have to remove the door cards to remove them from the inside, or do they just pop/slide off from the outside?
are different badges available for them?
Is there anywhere online i can get definitive part numbers for my Mk1 Clio? I want a new downpipe but i keep seeing different versions for my car. Its a 95M 1.4RT.
Can anyone help? I think it should be
RENAULT CLIO 1.4 (without flex ) E7J ENG 4/1990 - 5/1998
Im a bit confused as my lambda...
Got my clio as it needs a little work - main question is before i try and find a pdf workshop manual - do these have a lower engine mount?
My downpipe seems like it has some away from the engine due to engine movement. Im going to go out tomorrow when its day light and rev the engine with the...
Get new disks is about all you can do aside from wire brushing them however they will get rusty regardless.
Get some drilled/grooved disks and take attention away from the rust.
I wouldnt bother with a rear one to be honest, the moneys best spent elsewhere for pure cosmetics. how many people are going to look under the back unless you prompt them?
Ive had a good few off ebay, they really dont need to be that high tensile as the pressures on them are really not that much.
I just got a mk1 1.4rt, and i was quite suprised it came with a column control for the radio. I would like to keep this if possible for something rather than aestetics - is it possible to wire in a multichanger to the standard headunit and use an aux, or can the column control be wired into any...
