The R is not a bad car I had one on loan for while just to see what all the fuss was all about. Its not a bad car & manages to drive just as well as my S3 in the dry. Brembos are a real bonus, I was surpised though it rolled as much as it did . Lots of chaps are getting them revod though...

Its about time that licenses for performance cars were graded like bikes. Their are far too many novices driving around in performance cars - hence the insurance premiums being so high.

Paa handling can be made very good with coilovers etc, many are running over 200 bhp & handle the added grunt no problem.

I used to have a golf VR6 quick & comfortable but when you drove it quickly it soon became a nose heavy wheel spinning pig. Corrado VR6 now your talking. MK1 very long it the tooth, good in its day but no match (in standard form) against todays hatches.

Typically a supercharger will give you up to 40% more power a turbocharger up to 70%. All in all supercharging is much easier / cheaper to do - just watch your mechanicals though - they may not last lol. Ive a mate with a 325 conv which is putting out @ 270 bhp - quite impressive - low down...

Id take your car to the dealer - & them do a pressure test, as its possible your head gasket could be on the way out - you dont want a warped head.
