I'm running the CL RC5's and they were tight with the shims. Tried without and there was to much movement for my liking.
I ended up filing a bit of the backing plates where they seat and running with shims and really happy with them now.
I also ground a bit of the sides of the shims as they...
That's stunning Craig.
Much better on silver wheels. The original side strips and handles break the colour up well also.
You popping down Croft on the 30th mate?
I have a RS Tuning remapped 172 cup ecu, uch and ignition barrel off my old car.
Now driving a ph1 172 and was wondering would above items be a straight swap for existing parts?
Anything else to consider or not compatible?
Cheers
I've just knocked some alloy ones up this weekend. Just weighed them at 2kg each. Anyone know how much your basic steel ones weigh?
There not 100% finished in these pics but give you an idea. Painted the drivers satin black today whilst fabricating the passenger one. I'll post better pics up...
As above I've just started to get a small build up of coolant there.
My cars stripped out and can see its coming from the side of the heater matrix.
I've had a quick nosey under the bonnet and topped coolant up until I get chance to have a better look on Saturday.
Any known faults or...
Admittedly 'heavy' braking at junctions wan't the best description. It's basically when just bringing the car to a full stop that I'm getting a bit of ABS interference without locking up.
I'll check the wiring better for breaks I think as suggested by Jengis, cheers.
Anyone know if the sensors...
Symptoms are ABS kicks in under 'heavy' baking at junctions etc. and ABS light is on dash.
I'm guessing ABS sensor. I've had it plugged into an RS Tuner which isn't showing any faults. I've had the wheels off and inspected sensors/wires for breaks etc.
Is there an easy way of eliminating...
As above. Car looked nice wondered if you were on here as seen you a few times now.
I was in the dirty black ph1.
If so did you see the Nissan Skyline at the side of the road who's bonnet catch had failed?
I know a few lads who have been to Motorscope and their results are very optimistic. Get it down to RStuning.
I'm closer to Motorscope and would not use them.
Like the interior and windows, nice to see my old door cards without the mold;). Wouldn't you be better off without the fog lights blanks for brake cooling?
I meant a crate of stella will do for payment for a welding job;)
What are you after the backbox welding to the centre section? (wouldn't recommend this)
Post some pictures and more info if you want it doing as I'll be down at work Saturday. Is it stainless or mild steel?
If it's just leaking...
14.1 was my best time at york, 98.9mph. Used to hit there or abouts quite regularly aswell. Weighed roughly 900kg on a local weigh bridge and 175bhp on RS tuning rollers. Tyres were Paradas (fronts 18psi, rears 40).
Totally agree. Seems an urban myth.
Picked up a ph1 recently with cambelt due. Rinsed a Civic type R on the way home. Cambelt seems fine. Probably won't bother with V Power now..
Contisports get my vote aswell. Best allrounders I had fitted to my cup.
Owned it for 7+ years and tried loads of different brands.
AD08's were best I tried for dry grip but not so good in other conditions.
Me and a couple of mates are doing a 4 week road trip from Vegas to New York next year.
We've booked a 5 door chevrolet sedan s**t box for $380.
Unless your wealthy I think the moneys best spent elsewhere on a trip like that.
As said above aswell, I'd rather some American V8:approve:
I've just bought a 03 1.4 clio. Cups sorn for the winter.
TrackdayAl; I was surprised to be honest as it failed on winscreen wipers but not the ABS light:S
