The revs on my car will slowly increase if it left to idle. They start at 1k as normal, but then the revs slowly increase with no throttle input. if left I'm sure they would have carried on to the limiter, but i turned it off at 3k every time.
Prior to this today on the drive home the car cut...
It turns out the garage's diagnosis was correct, the master cylinder is leaking and the servo wasn't 'not working' however their fix, which included the servo removal maybey wasn't.
I asked my girlfriend's dad who is a mechanic and he spoke to his mate who is a Renault specialist, who advised...
I posted the other day that my brake pedal had gone rock hard and couldn't be depressed. it was intermittent and didn't do it every time I braked.
I took the car to a garage. They have advised the master cylinder has leaked, damaged the brake servo and both need replacing. If they do, I will...
I've had nakang ns2's when I've purchased a new car, they were rubbish.
I've had Toyo T1R's they were okay, soft but not very good in the wet.
I've had Uniroyal Rainsports 2 and 3 and they were decent. Great in the wet, cheap in 15". The only real downside is they aren't the hardest...
Yesterday, whilst driving along the brake pedal suddenly became very stiff and I lost most stopping power, which was quite scary.
Anyway after a little search, it sounds like this guide will fix my issue.

Hi all,
I recently took my car out just after it had rained heavily and the roads were still wet. After about 1/2 a mile the car started to hesitate and then cut out. It restarted immediately. I decided to head back home at the next roundabout. It cut out a further 3 times on the way home.
A...
It's not going to be a cheap visit to the garage is it. That's what I had feared. A clucth replacement is around £480 and a belt/dephaser replacement is £500. Good thing I get my redundancy payout on Friday.
Main leak is suspected to be the rear main oil seal.
They also said there was a very slight leak from the camshaft and they think the gearbox input shaft.
They suggested trying a sealant to rejuvenate any leaking seals in the short term but I personally I would like to get them fixed.
I...

I think they charged be £550.00 for a double back box and a reworking of existing collector box. They cut the ends off the old collector box and fitted 2 new packed ends and then ran the pipe work down to...

A little bit further, but they are really good chaps and make lovely exhausts too. They made a exhaust for me when I had my clio V6 from the top cat back.

I was driving along when the engine cut out. I coasted and pulled up. Now the battery warning light on the dash is illuminated and the car won't start. It will turn over.
Any suggestions?
When I turn my headlights on, the drivers side xenon flicks on momentarily and then turns off. The passenger side comes on and stays on. Does anybody have any suggestions?
I tried searching but couldn't find anything like described above.
Thank you.
Carlisle to Poole is a very long way to get there and find it doesn't work. It was a car I'd seen on eBay, if it had been closer i'd have gone to see it, glad I didn't make the trip! I've been looking for 2 weeks on ebay, here, gumtree, autotrader, pistonheads and in that time just 2 non silver...
Nothing ever in either on my 172s. However, when I had a Clio V6 it was the opposite, people would regularly wander over for a chat, coming out of Tesco to see people taking photos of it and on one occasion posing with the car for pictures (caught on camera). It wasn't just your typical younger...
