sounds like an earthing fault to me. check your earth straps everywhere.

thinking about it i have just re read the vosa page and like you have said it shouldnt be fitted to the 182.... the above would make sense if the MOT person wasnt sure if he had seen the correct item(as said pervious post above)

read it again....it does cover the 172 182 and cup.

calipers sticking, road chamber, tracking has moved since alignment,track rod ends.... the list can go on. take it back to where you had it aligned and get it rechecked, they should check it for free.

hold in the stalk button and turn the ingition on. the dash will flash look for the front fog light

yes, but they will sell for about £2k. so thats about right..... sell private unless its full of problems!!

when i first used my 172, the fogs didnt work. the dash did light up though. on mine the joining cable connector had corrosion and was not passing current. i had the scrap then all clean with a knife. put back together with some vasaleen an now work perfect.(sorry for spelling)

they should pass it with the airbag light is on as well.

just some information. when starting a car with a good charged battery, on average it takes 7 miles of driving to charge it back up..... i dont think 30 mins willl charge the battery.however i think 3 hours would. the other thing is why did it go flat? the battery might have a bad...

to start, i bought a set of hc brembro max front disc's of here and the seller gave me rear drilled and grooved disc for free. i have got some new pads as was looking on ebay last nite and spotted some ebc red stuff, won for £21.00 with £4 delivery so they will do. thanks all

as above, i looking at £50 ish tops really. i have bembro hc max discs and ds2000 pads up front. want something for the back as they are almost worn out.

thats all well and good if the car is to have its MOT done straight away, if you have to wait or leave it they will cool down in about 30 mins.

looking at that driveshaft i would not be putting that on. it looks worse than you one. do it proper and buy a new one.
