While doing my oil service on my daily i noticed that the drivers drop link bolt had sheared, I am looking to replace both drivers and passenger side drop links, are any special tools required for the job ? Take it i follow the same methology as the anti rool bar only nip up when car is in the...
Its not diesel fumes its the exhaust fumes, I can see a small puff from around the turbo area when cold, I stripped out the EGR valve to see if it was that,
So the twisted dog bone mount with fit the dci ?
Just recently bought myself a DCI so i can sell my 172 cup (shameless plug;)) and get another project car started.
Couple issues i noticed with the clio on the drive home, There seems to be alot of gear stick movement when i am on/off the throttle, i take it an engine mount is gone, do the...
car is now on ebay http://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/e11050.m43.l1123/7?euid=32e03f896c404bae99687d1208cca0ee&loc=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.co.uk%2Fws%2FeBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D250817994668%26ssPageName%3DADME%3AX%3AAAQ%3AGB%3A1123
I have bought myself a soarer 2.5 tt as a project car and want something nice and economical for my daily, and the clio fits that nicely and can dress it up to look like the RS's.
The only thing i find is that most DCI sellers arent interested in swapping :dapprove:, think i will have to pay my...
Was wondering if there was any sort of a buyers guide out there for the clio dci, i am looking at selling/swapping my 172 cup for one.
Is there any major things i should look out for in them ?
What models came with air con? did any of them come with climate control ?
Hi, i was wondering if you's could tell me whether or not the 172 cup has a shorter final drive than the standard 172, i am interested in selling my cup for a standard 172 as i find that cruising on the motorway requires me to be up around 3500-4000 which makes it slightly uncomfortable
Just had a quick look, when changing the turbo you should change the manifold to this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fiat-Coupe-exhaust-manifold-20vt-Stainless-steel-/140512535033?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20b73321f9, as the standard ones are prone to cracking.
I forgot to...
The soarer is based on the toyota supra chassis, it has a 1jzgte engine (2.5 twin turbo) factory manuals are very rare.
I did like the coupe, shame the 16vt only had 2 pot calipers up front unlike the 20vt's brembo's. The biggest issue i had with it was there was an electrical problem with the...
I already have a 200sx project, had one before aswell. I am selling up as i have been offered a factory manual one onwer from new toyota soarer TT. I notice you have a coupe 20VT i used to have the baby brother the 16VT
I have decided to sell up, i do alot of motorway travelling when i am home from offshore and the cup's gearing just doesnt sit right with me when on the motorway. Have to say its been one of the best handling cars i have had
:dapprove:
I wouldnt advise wallace performance, we took my brothers 200sx track car there for aligment, it has fully adjustable arms etc, they mucked up that severly coilovers were adjusted incorrectly by them,
Any reputable local garage should be able to do the job, its not a complex engine to do the...
Is replacing the track rod end on the clio easy enough, i have done it on other cars however this is the first one i would of done where the track rod is positioned under neath the knuckle and have heard alot about people not being able to tighten the nut up due to the bolt rotating
Thats quite a bad crash, good to hear that no one was hurt though.
I disagree with all the comments regarding the age issue, my first car at 17 was a Fiat coupe Turbo, i have also had two nissan 200sx's a 172 Cup etc i have never crashed any car and have a clean license to date and have been...
