i got mine october, the Renault garage told me they had been recalled when i popped in in December. They told me ALL 172s had to be checked. not sure how true it is....

Picked up nearly 4 weeks ago, done 2k miles, brilliant car. Great fun to drive, but does need concentration to drive fast. I find the seating position OK but could be better, and the gearshift is a bit dodgy sometimes. Its a raw car but thats why i bought it and im lovin every minute of it!

yeah i get that when accelerating through long corners. I had the dealer look at it, they said its cos its stiff suspension...Seems to stop as i straighten the wheels mine also knocks when cornering hard left or right, I noted that EVOs fast fleet Cup does it also...

yeah definately report him, i had someone get out of the car and kick the side of my door in. Took down the reg, and although the cops took their time about it, they charged him with criminal damage, and i got £400. It did take him a few months to pay it though(at £50/month)! The bloke lived...

havent had the same problem as you, but my stereo turned off one night and never turned on again. Had the garage send it off to Renault nearly 2 weeks ago, Renaut have had to send it to VDO cos they dont know what to do with it..... maybe dodgy vdo units

ha ha, most of them havent a clue! when i was enquiring about the cup some renault dealers asked me what colour i would like it in!
