little bump on this to save starting a new thread.
this starts again sunday morning.
its always a nice meet. very relaxed and not full of kids thinking its fast & furious
im not going to lie, i woke up and saw the weather and rolled back over for another few hours. definately a meet we should try and do again sometime. decent location for most west midlanders id have thought. plus its 5 mins from my house :D
there was a guy on one of the facebook pages who bought a bonnet in similar condition and refurbed it and did an incredible job. from memory it was alot of very fine wet and dry & lacquer. so what jamesycc said really. ive been toying with having mine painted but i read somewhere it can be a pain
Yes mate, 18th of September is the next although the organizers have mentioned making it a monthly thing so if they put one on in august ill post in this thread to let people know
Little reminder for all who are interested. This meet is on Sunday morning. Starts about half 9/10 am. Always a good meet with a good mix of cars. I'll be there in my rb (probably parked next to a ktm) so come say hi if I'm by :)
i love this thread. i always end up sitting having a good read at any updates. the car is a real credit to you!
did you ever fit the defelectors? ive got some to fit to mine but not got round to it yet. if youve got a picture that would be great too
i havent seen this till now! sorry guys it was sunday the 15th. it was only the second one but was a good turn out and good atmosphere.
ill try and find out the date of the next one and pop it up for you all
theres a little meet on sunday morning 10 - 1 at great escape cars unit in redditch. last month was the first meet there and i personally enjoyed it and there was a nice mix of cars. just thought id let the west mids cs faithful know :)
address is Unit 26, Dunlop Rd, Hunt End Industrial...
you will mate. im glad i went that route. i dont regret the rb one little bit. especially not on a sunny day like today.
as for the gear knob. cutting the bugger off is the only way
its a nice little run around especially as you were given it as a gift!
the mods aren't my taste but as long as your happy that's all that matters
don't waste your money saving for an engine conversion. its more hard work than its worth. save it and get a faster car (Clio or not)
that's...
i had to pop out to a customer in the bosses car and came across a gorgeous rb in an industrial estate near the moons moat maccie, redditch. verrrrry nice
