to remove the bearing just run a weld round the inside or the bearing itself, let it cool for 1 to 2 min's and it should just knock out, only need a press to put bearing in and press hub into bearing.
Even if I was millionaire I wouldn't spend £85 quid on those especially when a powerflex mount fitted inside the original mount or even a new ebay mount is a better option at a fraction of the price. People saying money is no option and they are in strong finacial position.... lmao. All they...
Guess it comes down to personal preference and that's what so good about cars, everyone likes there own thing. That been said I know for about the same price I'd take a 2jz fd over a boosted clio any day of the week. I would much rather work with a rwd platform and what is highly regarded as one...
Will be a nice car but think of what you have to turn down to have it.... big power is best in rwd format. I'd be getting a rx7 fd with a shagged engine or a s13 silvia and putting a 2jz in for the price of the clio and 5k turbo kit plus the extra grand or 2 you will need in diffs suspensions...
sounds like bits of pressure plate bouncing around the bell housing. jack the front up with the car with it in neutral and turn the driveshafts by hand. If it sounds fucked you know its gearbox/clutch related. If it sounds ok you have probably spun a shell and its new engine time.
Never buy a car without test driving it imho. People get very good at driving a particular car and know how cover stuff up whilst driving and stop noises etc from happening. If they won't let you drive it walk away, simple as that really.
pop and bang map gets old real quick. constantly got to go into neutral on the motorway when slowing down inless you want a machine gun show lol. Everyone else on the road just assumes your car is completely fucked lol. Also if a copper sees it, it's a safe bet you won't be driving the car home lmao
If you have the starter motor off. connect the main terminal to the positive on a battery using a jump lead then using a screw driver touch the main terminal and solenoid terminal and starter should fire out the spindal and spin. You will get a slight spark when you do this but don't worry it...
Most people only get them for flames and bangs as it cuts off the spark and allows it to over fuel. The launch control is poor tbh you just set the revlimit you want hold the button while bouncing it then release clutch and let go of button lol. I know a lad that used to swear by it on his saxo...
Really simple job tbh especially if you get new discs with the bearings pressed in but if you can't stretch to that pretty much any garage will press you some bearings in for not alot of cash.
Just stick a rs stamped inlet on it they are better matched than standard and will be alot cheaper. Got one for sale if interested pm me. As said above don't remap till you have everything ready and installed complete waste of money.
Best setup for street imo is:
cooksport of similar lowering springs
whiteline arb
15inch lightweight wheels tyre size 195 50 15
oem rubbers refresh throughout the entire front end including rack ends, track rods and lower ball joints.
Do those mods and you'll have a absolute weapon which also...
