Nice looking cars I think. My wife has a ds3 with that engine, watch out for oil use as they like to drink it and are prone for belts to degrade as they are run in oil but as its new just oil usage its almost or rx8 levels!
You probably won't find cheaper than that. It's a bit thin but as it's not a competition car it should be fine to add some protection. You might just need to take it off every once in a while to straighten it. Rally ones are usually between 5-10mm thick.
It's just a load of s**t and why rallying is dieing. 50 roads closed should be 50 miles of roads for a start! A local fearing for horses, so move them across a field for the day or take them out for a ride nowhere near any roads then! Closed road rallys bring in millions of £ in revenue each...
Love the idea of this and was thinking of doing something similar but with a maxi with the 5 seats and a roof tent for me and the Mrs with inside setup for the 2 boys to sleep.
I have completely lost motivation to go rallying. So the 133 is up for sale but I have no idea what it's worth!

Lots of events popping up but can the clubman afford to do these events that are now hopefully going to run. My interest in rallying is now zero unfortunately. Even my yearly trip to Mull is not what it used to be. The Twingo is getting prepared for sale and that's me done with rallying.
Last one I used was just bolted to the bonnet!
They are also ideal for Scottish single track road as they have a good flood pattern and spread light so much better than spot lights.
Brilliant bits of kit and just use a cheap Chinese one no need for the expensive ones. I have used them on rally cars. For a road car just use one of the numberplate brackets that are available on ebay and a wireing kit or piggy back off the main beam if you can.
The claws/hooks are usually shaped so they don't slide also make sure you do them a small amount and then do the other side repeating untill you have the spring compressed enough to get the top mount on the shock.
An old trick used by road rally boys is to make a wooden ring and put it in between the strut top and the body. You would obviously need to sort out some longer bolts. It's very primitive but it works you could possibly use old wheel spacers but have no clue how much space you have to play with.
The b******s! Do they not know us old people don't have fb.
Next year I am due to get my sons 133 so fancy a na 2.0 swap into it. I did have a old French car mag I think it was with a 2.0 conversation in but it has gone awol.
I think it would be quite a quick car. RR and taga boys are still hung up on using mk2's or protons.
It's nice that you have gone a different direction. I bet when you have done a few events you will be able to see where the clio's strengths and weakness are.
I may go back to grass routes next...
Rainsports are fairly good tbh as its what I used to run on the Puma. Are you making a sump gaurd? Just remember for road rallys you need to keep an interior and something that resembles a back seat.
My dad was rallying minis, imps and avengers when I was little.
Where abouts in the country...
