I am going to install my new sub in the next few days, but I am wondering how it is best to connect the remote lead?
I have thought about a chocolate box on the car loom, but are there any better/tidier ideas?

That's one of the ones I was looking at. Ideally I don't want to spend more than about £120 quid, as I want a cheap amp (not too cheap that it sounds crap though ideally!)
I am thinking about wiring up my door speakers to a four channel amp, and then use the RCA out on that amp to link it to the monoblock for the sub.
In terms of power leads is it OK to bridge them, ie. power the 4 channel as normal and then take the power lead from that to the sub amp too?
I...
EDIT:
just seen the JBL GT5-A604E or the JBL GTO-504e 4 channel 320/280W amps, which both say they have a "full range preamp outputs are provided facilitating multiple amplifier hookups without the need for high-loss Y-adapters or signal splitters".
If I am looking to power four car speakers...
thanks mate. I've been offered one of these FLI 10" subs with an amp built in second hand for next to nothing, so i was thinking 4 channel amp for the car speakers, and the sub amp seperate, but how would i connect 2 amps up to a stereo with one RCA?
Another thing, with the components set, how would you go about fitting them, is is the two speaker wires go into the crossover, then the four outputs to the two speakers? or is it a bit more complicated than that?
is it worth sepnding a lot of money to get a 'decent' amp, or are the cheap ones just as good?
Also, I was thinking of putting a sub and some 6x9s in the boot, would I need a 2 channel or a 4 channel amp to power them?
I am looking to upgrade the speakers in my mk2ph1 clio.
First of all, what size are the door speakers?
Is is worth amping replacement speakers up?
Is it worth replacing the tweeters too?
Does anyone have any suggestions for reasonable speakers?
I have been looking at the JBL...
I have just bought myself some of the twin headlight 172 ph1 lights thinking (wrongly) that they would be a direct plug and play replacement for the standard lights on a ph1...
Instead of me just selling them on again, is there any way of altering the wiring of my car, or fitting the standard...
does anyone have any pictures to show the ph1s lowered on 60mm springs and 15s, or pictures of the ph1s lowered on coilovers and 15s so that i can compare.... just seeing if its worth the extra.
I will have to wait til pay day next week to make you an offer mate, as I have just had my window smashed up by a pheasant costing me £120 and a parking fine for £60... Not pleased at all!
so if i were to go for a 60 mm drop just on springs would that be alright do you reckon? Also, how hard are new springs to fit, as I've never done any suspension work before...
After fitting some 15 inch alloys on my mk2 ph1 (tyres: 195, 50s), I am looking to lower my car. Because I am fairly new to this I don't know how far to lower it, ie. 40mm or 60mm, and whether to get just springs, or springs and shocks.
Firstly, how low can I realistically go with these...
I have just taken ownership of a completely standard mk2 ph1 clio. I am now considering getting myself a set of alloys but i'm on a tight budget and am completely new to this sort of thing.
Firstly, what sizes should i be looking for to go on a clio?
Secondly, where can i get cheap alloys...
