No worries, sorry about the centre cap key and the cassette, to be honest I never checked myself as I only had the car for about 500 miles.
My bank said the draft looked real and has cleared, but they also said your bank were completely out of order not confirming the details I asked for...

Nope, all youve got to prove (if you need a warranty claim) is when the car was first registered, thats it. I had a warranty claim on my 172 (2002) and the dealer just wanted my V5 to confirm when it was registered, nothing else.
Its a crafty way of putting off would be importers, all the manufacturers do it.
Im pretty sure if you ask your local dealer to extend your warranty to 3 years theyll do it, especially (as bambam said) you have to get it serviced through them to keep the warranty valid. Itll probably not cost...
I was under the impression the 3 year warrant consisted of two elements.
1.) 12 months manufacturers warranty (international)
2.) 24 months dealer warranty (uk only)

The manufacturers guidlines are actually designed to be the worst case scenario (bar tracking your cars), if it were the best youd need not change the oil for even longer.
Why the hell would someone do 1 1/4 mile test to see if there mod worked as itd be different everytime due to conditions...
Okay, but there is no way 30% of this forum tracks their cars, or even 1/4 mile it as you put it, why would someone want to 1/4 mile their car I do not know, unless you are a serious modder and I mean serious like HardcoreSax.
Okay Flying S, why is it recommended by the manufacturer of the engine to only have the engine oil replaced every 2 years or 12,000 or in the case of the non 172/V6 models only 18,000.
I fully agree with the track day scenario, but 99.9% of all people never take their car on a track.

I dont see the point in replacing engine oil every 6000 miles.....99.99% of modern cars will die because of depreciation, rust, written off, head gaskets, gearboxes etc before an engine goes. Your engine will probably last 20 years before changing your oil every 6k will pay off, by then youll...

Okay matt4478 youve got some valid points and I agree everyone has a different opinion on different cars.
My point really is that I have owned a Mk2 172 and a 106GTI at the same time and thus I feel that I have at least more experience than some on this site in like for like, not just beacuse...
