Dug the wife's ph1 from under it's Cover at the weekend gave it a quick wash and took some pics with the Cup. Not seen the road in around 7 years now, still looks great.
Had to this on my R26 box I put into my clio. Made it much nicer. Mine wouldn't centre properly, would just stay to the left. 3rd gear was the worst to select.
The cat system is waste of time. Tons of cars are repaired on a daily basis that are worse than a cat c and none of them have a marker on them. All down to insurance companies and values etc
Wouldn't bother me.
Never been a fan of the speedlines myself, mainly the way they seem curve inwards from the centre to the rim. Where as the Silverstone's are the opposite and fill the arches so much better.
I Love my Meglio, haven't had it on track as yet, but it has had it's issue's!
Firstly the package I bought was a waste of money! The only parts currently fitted to my car from the whole package I bought for £1100 is n/s driveshaft and gear selector and cables and both need replacing!
But if...
I don't tend to wear gloves any more when welding, stupid I know!! The worst I had was when 1 small splatter landed on my wedding ring. My hands can take it no problem these days but when it landed on my ring it took all the skin off where the ring sat! Very painful, had to have my ring resized...
Turn your wire speed up a little, especially if your welding from below, also keep the torch as straight as possible and give the wire a light spray with some wd40. Let's the wire feed easier and stops the wire from rusting too. I give it a light coat every couple of months. See how you go.
In all honesty I think you'll have trouble getting it to seal with a mig. I've made a few ali tanks and the slightest pin hole will leak! I'm not saying you won't be able to but it definitely won't be easy. If you weld it with a mig you'll struggle to weld it with a tig after.
Maybe find...
I had to repair a motorbike tank at work a few months ago. Took all day to make up bits and weld it up. But he couldn't get another anywhere.
Can't find a pic of it all done! Typical.

Well I do it for a living, have done since I was 17! Never seem to do anything for myself though. I Want to build a classic race car at some point though. Building cars and race cars for other people isn't fun when you have to hand them over at the end!
Enjoyed turboing my 197 as...
