I think the DCi was just out of my budget. I actually went to test drive the GT I had been looking at and it drove beautifully but I then drove an ST and ended up putting a deposit down. I'm just not a fan of VVT and the Clio just lacked the low down grunt of the ST which put a bit smile on my...
Hi,
Not sure if this is in the right section as technically I don't even have the car yet but here goes.
I was all set to go and buy a Clio GT after a test drive of one yesterday but, after looking into the 197/200 and their Gearbox issues, I came across a thread where someone mentioned the...
I have read that Eibach/Koni is a good combination but the Koni adjustables are a bit above what I have to spend.
Now knowing that even the gas dampers use oil, I am swaying back towards the Eibach as they would most likely compliment the springs better than the other dampers.
Hey, I fitted some Eibach Pro springs a while back and now Christmas is on the horizon and my cars shocks look knackered it would make sense for me to use any money I get to replace them. I have been looking around and a few sets seem to suit my budget/needs:
Eibach Pro (Obviously :p)
KW
SPAX...
I would do but I'm at home in South Yorkshire at the moment. I'll probably be back in the area next week so I could bring it down then.
We have had a go at refitting them ourselves with reference to a Renault exploded diagram and they seemed to be fitted correctly but there is still the gap...
We went back today and they said they had fitted one of the rubbers incorrectly but the top rubber still sticks up even after they refitted it. Here's the pics anyway:
Yeah, I think it is the rubber cap, it sits much higher than it did before though which is the main concern. Is this normal?
Thanks.
edit- I can always upload some pics tommorrow if that will help
Hi. My 1.6 16v Clio recently failed it's MOT on a coil spring so I've bought a set of Eibach Prolines to replace the old springs.
My dad replaced the rear springs to get it through it's MOT but didn't have the tools or confidence to do the front springs so he took it to a local garage.
Now...
Something that's forgotten about PC gaming is that (legitimate) games are usually £10 cheaper than console titles and then steam and d2d etc have crazy sales on over the holidays where you can get about 20 games for £50 or less. (GTAIV + EFLC for £6 for example).
Not sure about graphics cards with dual output for under £50, I'd guess you would be looking second hand. Cheapest I found was a 4650 which was about £65. I have an old 4870 1GB that's gathering dust but I'm not sure how much it's worth. Might be a bit overkill for what you want, I dunno.
I agree with everyone else, keep lots of receipts and continue looking after it and the car will sell itself. I'd buy one without FSH right now if I had the money.
Not too sure what the colour is but I think its just nautical blue though it may have had the illusion option. I have a sheet from Renault with the exact spec so I'll have to check it when I'm back home.
As for wheels I like the idea of satin black to match the black badges but I had...
I agree. That's one of the small modifications I want to make along with a set of 16" alloys, sports cat and manifold (to finish off the set), some Eibach proline springs and perhaps a few other bits.
Might consider spraying the trim over Easter seeing as it's my birthday and I'll have a...
Thanks for the comment.
When I say cheap I suppose it's relative, its no diesel but my insurance is only £500 which considering i'm 21/22 seems pretty good. I've also had 60mpg out of it before and get 48-50mpg on a run quite often (i drive steady generally ;)). I do the majority of servicing...
Joined a while back but never posted my car up so here it is.
Just a few pics of my second car which I have owned for nearly 2 years now. I'm at Uni at the moment so my budget is a bit slim but I'm hoping to make a few modifications before hopefully moving on to a 172/182 when/if I get a job...
Hi.
Got my clio 1.6 16v about a year ago and although its no sport its still pretty good fun.
I'm from South Yorkshire but spend most of my time at University in Coventry.
Thanks.
