    Just had the same problem my 2002 172 sport (non cup). New speed sensor on the top of gear box £19.50. speedo works fine now. time to sort abs light!:)

    ABS//Service light.

    I have the same abs light and serve and my speedo was cutting out. took it to ian browns garage dunf. After diagnostics got speed sensor on gear box replaced fixed the speedo. Still got my abs light on which causes serve to come on. diagnostics guy Jamie said it was most likly a cracked ring...

    Possible Steering wheel fix (172/182)

    Love it! just bought a 02 172 sport and after i get the abs light speedo fault sorted and getting me some grip tape! advantage Mr Black!
