V6 YEP was previously on Acid Yellow V6 #254. Probably up until about 2008 'ish'. It was then spotted on a Saxo VTS iirc (of all cars) at FCS Rockingham. So I'd imagine its possibly been on this PH1 for upto 10 years or so.
Mossy lad...! You've sold the Storm..!?!? Thought that might've remained in the collection for a bit longer...? Do you still have a Williams..? Loving the new Alien 200! Is that an ex RUK car..? Looking forward to catching up with you all in the very near future.. :)
No... the number on the sill plaque is in reference to the customer order number of the car when originally ordered at the dealer, and even that was vague. They weren’t even fitted at the factory, but at the selling dealership. The sill plaques and wheel center caps were placed loose in the car...
Great, usable car that... rolling restoration.. decent service and a bit of TLC.. I'd budget for around £3-5k spend on it to get it back up together properly at a v6 specialist. Thats going on what little is known about the car.. £50k as it is though...?? Good luck to him..! haha
My pic was from a non damaged ph1 172. They rust from the inside out, so worth checking behind those door cards.
Out of the 7 ph1's we have here, that was by far the worst. Another one is having new sills fitted, though no where near as bad as the one in my pic... that's getting scrapped.
As mentioned, it could be fixable.. Replacement sill sections are available from the like of Euro Car Parts for about £42. The new section is big enough in height to cover the removed section of rust.
This car, however.. will be scraped once we have everything off it we need.
Easy if you...
Frightening isnt it @barnesautos ! Its amazing how they vary. Both my garage queen and the track car are as clean as a whistle under there..! Then you get the monster in the pics.. :anguished: :grimacing:
Hey Chris.. hows things.!? Blimey... A 52 plate Exclusive..!? I thought the latest registered were two 02 plate cars..! Should've bought that..! lol My old Exclusive is long gone now... :(
Thank you..!
Hey Mossy lad... I'll dig some out. I was hoping to bring it along to ORS this year, but...
Well I have a ph1 garage queen too.. haha. No progress thread as yet, but I keep looking at my mate Mossyv6's thread thinking I ought to do something similar lol. I'm building mine with the help of 2 friends, as my mechanical knowledge is pretty poor.. :grimacing:🔨
Building a ph1 Cup Race car inspired track car myself.. so its very interesting to see what other people are doing to theirs too. You're a little ahead of me! :tongueclosed:
Depends which if the 4 options one chose.. (see my lower pic above) This particular car was one of the few commissioned by Renault UK, so has the full spec.
I don't recal the costs of each option off hand.
Same shape I guess, as in they use the same base seat. Exclusive seats were Dune Grey, these are 'Beige', and have ribs stitched across the seat. The leather was part of Renault's I.D. option packs. See pics, from sales brochures.
My word My Mossy... you HAVE been busy..! Great work as ever..! Makes me think that perhaps my little collection ought to be a little more varied lol.
Looking forward to seeing you guys at ORS in a few weeks.
Well done..!! :)
