as indicated on the cars mpg function, however in reality i get more like 37-38mpg, this is calculated on the fact i always put in around 10 gallon of fuel at each fill up and get 370/380miles to a tank.
The pic above was taken from a couple of weekends ago when i had been mtb'ing, so had 2...
Rules in the MOT state that if there are belts there they have to be functioning so if you remove it then they can't physically test it. Same rule applies if you have your car stripped out you have to have the rear belts removed also.
mine was fantastic, even with the remap on the motorway i was averaging 60-70 mpg and on the back roads and general commute getting 45-55mpg... I'd deffo have another but maybe just settle for a tdi130 and go down the hybrid route with that.
Although i have been looking at Jetta's and the extra...
mod wise it had 3" decat and exhaust, custom remap, egr delete, intake mods, cleaned inlet (yes this does make a difference) and a proper FMIC as the VW FMIC wasn't all that good. I had started to save for a hybrid conversion and sachs paddle clutch but the great road conditions killed it :(
my old Mk4 tdi150 before it met its tearful end :( god damn potholed camber roads
although it was dropped another couple of turns at the front and one at the rear... 205bhp and about 370ft/lb but clutch was slipping like mad so full power run was aborted :(
Spotted both this morning and yesterday morning on Walton Summit Road around 8am ish.
Blue with Black wheels, i was the guy on the push bike that you went past on both days
i had thought about having a bash myself but with work commitments it'd take me about 2 weeks to get it all done with the limited day light hours i'd have.
But back on topic, BTB is the future.... was loving the tone on the drive to the garage this morning, despite having to take it so easy
surprised i've not seen your car about Adam as i work in Bamber Bridge, will have to keep an eye out for you... although you prob won't see my car as i normally bike it to work haha
i went to BTB direct to get mine fitted as they hadn't done an early 172 before... I can honestly say its the best exhaust i've had on any of my cars ever. Noise wise i find its just right for me, however i am used to a stripped out mini with a straight through system haha
I had one in my mini and i notice quite a difference on that, although it did have quite a lot of engine work done so it was a worthwhile mod in my eyes. Not something i would have in the clio though as it seems to be nicely balanced on acceleration power as it is.
it all counts though vec ;) they still or so they said haven't had one in to take measurements from to make them up. lets hope my lack of back box doesn't deafen me on the way down, 200 mile trip one way lol
Just been on the phone to BTB and got myself booked in for Fri 15th, so all you people with single Lambda twin barrel cats can have systems made up :D
Guy i spoke seemed to know his stuff so hope all goes well while i'm there
Re: Dave.'s Trumpeted Engine Spec, Cammed Up Gunit, 2118'd Carbon Vagina Boob obsessi
looks and sounds awesome mate... got me thinking now, do i sell my mini and invest in the clio instead
