Another job ticked off, coolant dropped and fresh Type D now in place. Visual inspection of hose clips while underneath and ironically one of the OE clips cracked when being refitted so swapped out for a new jubilee clip.
System bled through, ran up to temp, topped up. Gave it a run out for 15...
Insurance renewal time and yet again Keith Michaels have come through, it's gone down slightly from last year which is welcome news considering all you seem to hear nowadays are big price hikes everywhere. So another year insured with them, hard to believe I've owned it over 3 years now ☺️
They've been like it for ages mate, the amount of times I've read people ordering items and waiting weeks and weeks for parts. Most of the time they're not even in stock, they're a joke
Keith Michaels have kept my insurance the same on the 2 renewals at £500. That's all mods declared and me making a claim back in 2020 for over £20k. Quite a few people have gone with them
CLIP diagnostics should help, there are people on here that do have it uploaded to their laptop. I only mentioned location as there might be someone on here that might be able to plug in for you and read the error codes. Assuming if it's booked in at Renault you've asked them for diagnostic...
You don't say where you are in the UK but I'd say get it to a recommended mech to have it looked at who has access to CLIP and some knowledge of Renaults.
It's where it's had all its mapping done throughout the years. 2 iterations of turbos, different diameter exhausts, different inlets, different induction kits. All to find the right ingredients to make what's it's doing now.
We were talking about this yesterday, the Clio has been mapped and...
I'm slowly ticking off the jobs on my to do list and this one has been on it for ages. It's one thing hearing about the power and torque from the previous owner but I wanted to see it for myself, and to basically make sure after nearly 3 years of owning it that everything is as it should be.
I...
Wheel bearing fitted, fresh Motul 600 brake fluid and genuine bleed nipples from Renault fitted on the rear calipers. On picking it up at Eds workshop we discussed a couple more jobs I'd like doing, Type D coolant change and the aux belt kit. Popped into Renault on the way home and picked up...
Picked up the wheel bearing from Renault today and ordered 2 bleed nipples for the rear calipers after being made aware that 1 of them was a bit temperamental.
Wheels bearings are a little bit chunkier than the old school Clio's from back in the day 😁
3 3/4" in diameter
Toomey indeed, I've been going to Renault in Southend as far back as when they were next to Priory Park as Lookers. Actually scrub that as I took my R5 GT Turbo to Renault in Hadleigh back in late 1998 to have a new clutch fitted. We agreed a price, picked it up and on the way to Lakeside it...
Popped into my local Renault dealer on Friday to order the wheel bearing. RPD price £79.95 reduced from £106 on their website page. Parts guy won't budge on their price of £106 "no we don't do discounts, you don't have a trade account to do that and you don't spend enough money"
My loyalty to...
MOT time again, I had 3L of ELF oil already so i ordered another 5L of ELF from Opie Oils on eBay. I almost ordered from their website but they were asking £6.95 postage with FedEx whereas the oil was £1 more on eBay but free postage. Sidenote it's nice to keep using the ELF oil especially as...
