Do 17s fit straight on a 1999 1.2 clio Grande without archwork, if so can i get it dropped 40 - 60 mm without mods? Will 17s affect the timing and therefore make the speedo lie? Advice muchos apreciated.

I have been considering one of these clios for a while, being 18 with pass plus completed and it being a group 3 insurance car I thought it would be cheap to insure, but as of yet I have not received an online quote of under £1200 fully comp!! This probably reflects my age but fuk me its still...
