Even tho its cheaper than the rest of the range its costs to run are still the same. Service every 4500 miles etc.
Its quoted the 0-60 time is 6.1 but from experience even with only 2500 miles on the clock its much quicker than that. not 100% sure on mpg but it costs me £40 to fill up with...
Due to the garage not being able to fix all the niggling faults i decided to get rid. I was going to get an evo 8 fq 330 but couldnt afford it. Instead i bought the 260. It is much quicker than the 172 and i love the power of a turbo. I do miss quite a few things from the 172 tho
Xenon...
mine does it and it gets worse with tyre wear. Bumby roads are the worst because its so unpredictable. They seemed to have cured the problem with the 182 as that was ok when i test drove one a while back. Getting rid of my 172 because of all the other niggly problems with it and an awful garage...
Wow, so many posts. The money im getting only makes an Evo possible it will stilll be on finance, but less than what im paying at the momment. It will deffo cost more in the long run due to service costs etc and insurance premiums but hey im gonna enjoy it.
Love to buy a house but its not...
Renault have had 5 chances to fix my 172, claiming each time that its something not covered under warranty then charging me the earth for it. Renault Uk were no help and the car is still faulty. I have just finished Uni and start a decent job in two weeks so the clio is gone. Really wanted to...
Test drove the 182 on tue with cup suspensions pack and it stuck to the road like glue. Engine sounded quiter than the 172 and you could hear the exhaust at high revs.
Didnt feel as fast as my 172 but im sure its because the engine is still tight and would loosen up after a few miles. Overall...
took my car in for the strange tapping sound and they found nothing wrong, took the guy out and he said he could hear it as well but didnt know what it was.
ive managed to narrow it down to the back right of the car possibly the wheel so im going to take off the whell and have a look at the...
My CV got done under warranty, why all the difference, it pisses me off when dealers that are all renault have different rules. It should all be the same, price and warranty work
Driving with windows open today (first time) and there was a tapping sound coming fromm the back of the car. it got faster and louder when i sped up but didnt go away when i stopped acceleration and dipped the clutch, any ideas what it could be?
looks like its going in to renault, again!
since my 24000 mile service my 172 has gone from slow, to wheelspining in 1st and sometimes 2nd and has loads of torque steer, it also feels a hell of a lot faster, i do need new front tyres but it was never like this before the service. any guys have torque steer when accelerating hard?
Noticed that my car is leaking oil slightly underneath and cant seem to pinpoint where it is coming from. Havent got time to take it to a renault garage for a good couple of weeks as my dissertation is due at uni and i also cant get any time off work, so need the car. Any suggestions as to what...
Renault said mine were 70% worn on its 24k service and when i changed them for ebc discs and pads they were only around 50% worn according to the guy who changed them and would have been ok for ages longer
sound like they like it, pity about renaults crap service, they have trouble distinguishing a 172 and a normal clio at the momment without problems of different types of 182s
got my service done at camden and they told me it was 190 and then charged me 221 quid, wouldnt go there again if they paid me, well apart from the warranty work they are doing for me after xmas
legally they do not have to sell at that price. In law it will be classed as an invitation to treat, it is the customer who makes the offer to buy and the shop who accept. If they try to charge you more you dont buy its not the offer you made to them. Also a reason why people can be refused to...
They have told me that the cv boot will be fixed under warranty, so they wont even dare on going back on their word now. Getting some brake pads from Kwick fit, £60 for front and they come with lifetime warranty, so wont need to worry about paying for them again
just had a phone call from renault, brake pads 70% worn at the front and they wasnt £200 to change them. Not a chance i feel, any suggestions on some new pads.
Also had a problem with the cv boot leaking, whatever that is and the handbrake beiing loose. Anyone got any ideas about the cv boot...
Car booked in for a service tommorrow hope all goes well. Anything i should look out for when i go to collect it. Apart from the obvious extra 1000 miles they have added:)
cheers for the help, got 6x9s already so just wanted to know how to fit them, had some in my boyracer Nova and they were fantastic and they only cost me 20quid at the time, these ones were bought from pooch and are alpine ones and look like they will be perfectly adequate. cheers for the advice guys
