Thanks for previous advice on stuck slider guys - passengers side new disc and pads all looking good now. So now I've moved to the driver's side and the previous owner has somewhat rounded off both the carrier bolts and they need to come off to replace the disc and get the other stuck slider...

Would bent driveshafts create tyre wear like this? The wear isn't all the way round the tyre so I'm assuming it's linked to the position the driveshaft is in during each rotation - or could it be some other suspension misalignment? This is the passenger side, the drivers side isn't so bad but...

Yes I have searched the other threads...OK so I'm changing pads and discs on a '99 1.6 16v. Noticed that the pad wear was uneven and it turns out one slider is seriously welded with rust into the carrier. It's not all the way in and it's been in the bench vice, soaked with penetrating stuff...
