I was at the ring too this weekend with a bunch of Renaults.
I saw your Clio's gor round the track a few times, looked very good.
I also drove one lap in my old Daihatsu Charade, which was absolutely ace, because I tried to get round the track with as much tyresqueel as possible. :D
Check...
Yeah, they're 7" and 7,5" instead of the standard 6".
Tiresizes are Continental Contisport 195/40/14 an 215/40/14.
Almost brand new tyres with all minimaal 7mm tread.
It's a shame the Clio has to go, but it just isn't practical to have 2 cars when I'm only using the LPG one....
Btw, here's...
Because I have to travel 105 km everyday for work nowadays I've decided to sell the Valver in bits and buy another, more reliable car which is also cheaper to run.
So I'm going to buy a 1997 LPG Honda Prelude, which is a lot slower, but very cheap to run and still a bit sportive.
I'm going...
I've got an uprated engine mount under the battery and dogbone mount, that thing was used in the Cliocup and rally.
I've also got an extra gearbox mount on the subframe from a 19 16V.
I still get the feeling that it should be tighter, but that would be just too uncomfortable as you wouldn't...
Re: sh*tty Renault gearbox, any options?
Because I don't have any patience. ;)
My daily drive is a Daihatsu Charade on LPG with 276.000 km on the clock and that thing can even change gears quicker and smoother than my almost brand new JC5. (N)
I've already got a Williams box, but I can't change gears fast enough.
It's just the build quality of those gearboxes.
I know that a Focus RS (Getrag) gearbox is very strong and changes gear very smoothly and fast, that's something a Renault gearbox won't ever do!
I will be needing a LSD in...
Right, I've just worn my gearbox out again.
What a piece of s**t gearboxes are those Renault thingies.
Are there any other options to put on a Valver which will be stronger and last longer.
My JC5 has been rebuilt almost 2 years ago and now the 4th gear synchromesh is dead......
Would...
I put my winterwheels on last week and today I got the alignment sorted, so I went for a little trash and made a short vid of my dials.
I really love those 14" wheels. :D

You can see the vid with Quicktime, not that good quality but it gives a...
I've got the R-tuner system for about half a year now.
It really works well and isn't that expensive.
The only downside is that you can only correct your mappings while the engine is switched off. So you won't be able to do anything while driving, therefor it will take a little longer to get...
Ive got a set of Catcams with the standard pulleys and that works perfectly.
So you dont need oher pulleys.
They do make adjustable pulleys I think....
No, I didn get the thermocoupling, but you cant change the EGT reading on the display. The only thing you can change on the display is the TPS reading which you can show boost, TPS or a user input.
The kit includes a simple Bosch wideband which is actually the best choice if you want to use...
The wideband kit was $399,- and the postage was $40,-.
But than those sh*tters at customs thought it was funny to give me a bill of €86,- for importing.....
So all-in itll be around €500,- which is somewhere around 350 GBP.
Well, Ive finally managed to install my wideband lambda sensor in my valver.
Its the Zeitronix ZT-2 with extra display.

At first I didnt know where to put the display as it is a pretty big casing...
Sounds very interresting, what type caliper is used with those kits?
And how about caliper clearance, is it better than the standard calipers which stick out the outside of the disc with an inch or so...
Yep, thats the way to do it.
If you want to feel any difference you should turn them anti clockwise with at least 8-10 "clicks". You could also just adjust them a few "clicks" and then go for a drive to feel if theyre soft enough for you.
Ive got a really cool pic of the Nurburgring, but I still havent worked out which corner it is.

Ive got a picture of my Valver with 15" white Compomotives, maybe that can give you an idea.
This is the best pic Ive got, I really need to take some decent pictures soon...
Looking very good mate. :D
Those sideskirts are the first ones Ive ever seen that suit the car perfect, not too big but nice and subtle. Do you know what company makes those skirts?
Its not the best pic, but it gives you an idea.
Those are Compomotive MOs 8x15.

Ive got a set of 6x9s in my doors, but absolutely nothing can beat them if it comes to bass and kickbass from the front.
And as I dont have a subwoofer its the most bass you can get from a set of speakers. Of course I didnt use the tweeter in the 6x9, but I put a set of tweeters in the dash.
Ive done a lot on it. Bored up, bigger inlet valves, 286 deg. cams etc.
That 100 mph should be quite right, because my speedo is reading 170 km/h when it starts flashing. I think that maybe I need to learn to make a quick start without wheelspin. :D
@iwantaV6: My bhp figure is very low too...
Yep, that was the last edition of the Williams that were produced. I think it was in 1997. Its a special very limited edition only sold in Switzerland.
But you dont have to complain, you all get the Cup and Gordini Clios. Thats the kind of cars were never getting over here....
