Does the tappety noise speed up with the revs or cut out after a certain point?

My light is on constantly but it has never flashed.I have also reset it but will come back on after a certain time so not much point having it reset unless your putting the cat back on for MOT

I would deffo change the dephaser to mate.If you sell the car in a few months to someone who knows anything about the amount of them that are going wrong they would ask if this has been changed.your choice at the end of day though.
