I am happy with my seller. He wrote a long, detailed description regarding the car and all known faults, and 8 months on, I've had no issues. I knew he was a genuine seller because his huge description (10 paragraphs) allowed me to peer in to his soul and form a judgement on his character, as...
"Don't cut the wires that's just stupid"...?! I thought that was the official way to fix it...
And I thought resistors were only if you were removing the airbags?
I might just leave it, I can't seem to get an answer... I'm amazed there's no proper guide out there for such a common problem...
What I think is confusing me, is I only have a blue and brown wire going in to the grey plug. There isn't a blue and brown wire on the other side of the grey plug which I was expecting there to be. Is my config different to others or am I misunderstanding the instructions?
Hope someone can help. I've got the issue with the lights coming on which goes away when the connection is wiggled and I want to fix it.
Here's a couple of pics of what under the passenger seat looks like (Ph2 172)

I started a thread here ; http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?591455-Cambelt-Tool-Sharing-Scheme
I still think it would be good to have some kind of sharing scheme, though I think it has been made pretty clear the forum itself would have nothing to do with it, it would be something...
I fitted my C3 ones a couple of days ago and I'm not that impressed TBH, it's spraying in fan fashion but spraying mostly too low. I don't even think they're adjustable?
Pretty stupid to post that on a forum when all someone's got to do is contact any insurer and they'll probably pass the info on to the correct insurer. I don't know if they'd act on it unless a claim was made though?
It's all wrong. He never stored or hosted copyright material, he merely linked to it (like any other search engine can and does do). Even if he'd stored copyright material, extradition should be reserved for the most serious crimes only. This is more a civil matter than a criminal one and should...
Exactly. If a flaw exists in the mobile network that the software in this prone accidentally exploits, it should be well known and there would surely be exploits available to replicate what this phone does.
Sounds a bit suspicious to me.
Might be worth £10 and a data access request to CUE to see what incidents have been recorded (if any) and when

Do a quote with the accident undeclared, and then the accident declared, and see what the difference is, that is roughly the maximum they should be charging, and it won't be anywhere near £1,700 I don't think! Attempted theft IMO, they think because you've entered in to a contract with them they...
I can see the temptation but can you 100% trust the seller about the age (not a dig as I don't even know who the seller is) also may have had poor oil etc, you never know.
It's a gamble, it would probably pay off but what if it doesn't? Your decision ;)
Mine used to come on and go off by itself every now and then, there was an O2 sensor fault logged, I changed the pre cat O2 sensor and it hasn't been on since.
First step = scan for fault codes
It does bring a login screen up mate, that is what Mells meant. However, I tried logging in with the classic username "test" password "test" and it let me in.
Some 10 years ago I got banned from school computers for being a naughty boy, logged in with the good old test / test and found it to...
Mine work fine BUT I always have to tap the stalk down and up first time I start the car, after that they work fine and automatically adjust the wiping frequently to the amount of rain, stop and start when they should etc.
But if I don't tap the stalk the first time, they will just remain...
Mine's the same too, if you pull the stick (to flash) with auto headlamps on, the fullbeam will stay on, I think they all do it, but it is easy to work around, just do two quick pulls of the stalk and it'll turn on then off quickly, about the same as a flash so it's not a big problem

My 2002 PH2 172 took CR1220, they were expensive anywhere other than online so I went on ebay and got these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260863243841
£1.79 delivered and working fine
Even on the For Sale section here people try it on. I've seen a 172 being offered for top money and looking at previous posts found the owner posted about serious dephaser noise where he was told the car likely needed a new dephaser + belt change in the near future... no mention of this in...
My 172 sounded like a diesel when warm. It sounded like a taxi for a few months. I suspected dephaser. But the oil was overdue so I changed it, and the noise immediately died down! No noise can be heard at all inside the car when stationary, whereas it was very noticeable before! Maybe an oil...
