The cobra exhaust is a very nice piece of kit, and alot cheaper than miltek etc. luckily i found a bargain on ebay it was only a few months old, i paid £500 for the full system thats turbo back with a decat and non resonated center section, so the only silencer is the backbox.
Im amazed at how...
Another S3 owner! Looks very nice, i do love the facelift! The recaros really do make or break the S3 for me, it is very boring in standard form compared to what my clio was in my eyes,
Mines a 2007 but ive fitted 18" VMR wheels, retro fitted recaros, full alacantara/blue leather interior...
@dazza303 172/182 wheels are 4x100 mate so should go strsight on your car although with yours being a mk3 they might look abit small only being 16" with low profile tyres
@dazza303 oh well in that case you will need 4x100 to 5x108 adaptors, im not sure if you can buy them you will have to search the internet, 5x130 is the stud pattern for porsche, 5x108 is what the 197/200 use center bore should be 60.1 on both your car and the 200 wheels
@dazza303 demon tweeks sell them, they are approx £120 per pair so about £240-£250 for the 4 adaptors depending on which ones you get, obviously my adaptors wont fit a rs200 as the rs is 5 stud and mine is 4
@dazza303 There h&r hub adaptors, convert it from 4x100 to 5x130 so the porsche wheels fit, also change the center bore to porsche size and act as a 25mm spacer at the same time. Oh and the wheels and hub adaptors are for sale with tyres, £600 takes the lot,
@NorthloopCup cheers!
Nope i was hoping it would its got a rs tuner 98 ron map on so it runs quite smooth, i get a few nice loud pops when its cold but thats it haha, ooo it will be loud then haha!
Yeah its the only colour id have one in haha had to travel to nottingham for it! And cheers mate its got a decat and center silencer chopped out of a scorpion rs192 system with ktec style induction kit. Its fairly loud haha
Hi mate, that was me haha, my mates just showed me this thread.
yeah i remember you being behind me actually i was on my way home from work, i live in great ayton so i go the backroad way home to keep it intresting, the recaros arnt factory fitted i put them in a few months ago as the standard...
Ok ill keep my eye out, ive seen a silver one with yellow fogs about these past few days though that might of been you! Haha, i dont mate but ill ask about.
Them New Gazcoilovers at £475 seem a great deal, coilover units all round, no seperate spring/shock spend the rest on tyres and tracking/camber/corner weighting
Think i somehow managed get some big eagle beaks in to squeeze it together! Might of put a dab of copper grease on the outer of the bush to help it slide over
I think they sound great tbh, mines a decatted scorpion rs192 and i love it, still quiet when at 70 the induction kit sounds almost like throttle bodies! Just not quite as throaty
Still no where near as loud as a a 200 with a non resonated scorpion haha!
You probably wont notice any more power, its worth it just for the noise they make though, i got mine from auto silicone hoses, 2x90 degree bends 70mm internal diamiter, a 70mm filter, 2 hose joiner thingys and a few jubilee clips! Jobs a good'en cost no more than £80 from memory
Haha cheers! I swore i would keep it standard'ish' when i bought it, coilovers are next on the list as its raised up a fair bit with all the weight out. And nope only problems have been that missfire when i first picked it up, then the diff managed to eat itself, and a few weeks ago it started...
