Ive found this wire hanging down the side of my engine with a yellow plug on it, but i have no idea where its meant to plug into? Any ideas? Car is a 2001 1.2 16v dynamique

Well i aint gona spend £120 when i can get a key, locks and barrel for £40

Its alright guys, managed to open the fuel cap with a screwdriver. no damage done. whats a rough price to get a new key cut?

The fuel cap is the most important thing at the moment. As i can still drive it but need to get that off.

The lock in the drivers door doesnt work anyway. So i just use the button on the fob. Changing the blade wouldnt effect it would it?

so you guys think the best thing i can do it try getting the old key out and get it molded and cut? how much would renault charge? As i've priced up a new ignition barrel, key, locks ect for £40 of ebay.

i can't pull the bit of key out of the barrel, as its snapped actually inside an so there is no part sticking out.. the way i start it is pushing the little bit of key still attached to the key fob into the barrel and turning it..

Havent updated this in a while due to it having starting issues and very little money to do anything. Also the fact that i have now received 5 points and £150 fine. :(

Possobly get the alloys you have now done in anthracite? Personally i love the colour :) but like most people on here will say its your own car so do what you think will make it your own.

Spray/Wrap badges? not to everyones taste but personally i think they improve the overall look of the car. Wind deflectors look great, and possibly customise the interior such as dash trims, speaker covers.

Just got back from the garage. Been told i need a new ECU, UCH and key.

Im having the exact same problem. Turn the key and all i get is a click from what i think is the UCH under the passenger footwel? Normally it will play up for a while then start. But ive been trying for about 2 hours.-_-

yeah all the fuses are fine.

Basically ive been pulled probably about 6-7 times for this and think its about time i got it sorted. the dip beam is not working at all on the passenger side, the full beam and side lights work and everything works on the drivers side. and its not the bulb as ive tried the one from the drivers...

Finally got round to uploading some pics of the car now its lowered, theres also a pic of the sun strip i mentioned.

Managed to prise the door open at the top enough to push a thin piece of wood down onto the window switch as the ignition was on. Thanks for the help though.
