Thanks for the help guys. will grind them down so they fit a bit more flush. One last thing. did you drill and bolt the rear arch feet before wedling the feet in or after. it seems that the rear feet are the datum points and everything lines up and fits off this?

I don't think they will bend as there boxed plates. Heres some pictures.

44 teeth on the ABS ring. I'm 99% sure this is what I took off when replacing the discs as well. Thanks. Ben

I was just wondering if anyone could briefly explain how to do this. I also have a starter button with separate switches for fuel pump and ignition. I guess this is just off the barrel? are there any wiring diagrams for this part of the car. Cheers

I'm in the process of removing my 172 (not cup) abs setup. Binned the pump and all the steel brake lines. It's got a 2 port master cylinder which I was going to tee off for the front. Then run one brake line through the car and then split for the rear.

I did this - makes a big difference IMO

Hi guys was woundering if anyone has done this. were planning on having no ABS in the 172 so as where at it may as well run all new brake lines with a brake bias for the rear. has anyone got a brief overview of what needs to be donw with the Clio. Cheers Cliff

Hi guys Will be fitting the head back onto the block this week. i was wondering if a special sealant is needed between the head and the rocker cover or will and gasket sealant do the trick. Also what torque doe the camshaft bearing bolts need to be tightened to? Cheers

I measured the flatness with a CMM machine. it apears to be a bit bannana shaped with a 0.02mm rise in the middle of the head. also measure the surface finish at 0.30 Ra. is there a spec for that?

Hi guys. Just in the process of refeshing my engine for my 172. The head is off for a bit of work on the inlets/exhaust. Ive just measured the flatness of the head and its 0.05mm out . Does anyone know what the tolerance is before it needs skimming? Cheers

both look alright to me mate! Prefer the look of the 172. No doubt you'll fiddle with the 182 to make it more to your liking
