Theres 2 16mm bolts per mounting bracket, remove all 4 and iirc you can leave the column bolt and the two captive M8's alone, make sure the rack is adequately supported :)

Did the solid rack mounts make a noticeable improvement?

It would be interesting to hear feedback from fitment of the steering rack bushes, both purple and black series.
