Yeah I agree on returns if I put new engine, and I bet it would be one of those where you end up spending more than you anticipated.
And no mot ticket in 2 months so theres another can of worms.
She is going to be harvested and boxed up for you lovely folk.
On that note, is ebay a sensible...
I would say poor condition, alloys are hanging and new front grille needed. A few tiny battle scars on body.
It has ktec 2.25 catback and ktec induction.
Sat on eibach sportlines
Otherwise standard mate.
Hi guys,
My 182 decided to end itself a few days ago, was reefing it along a country road then out of nowhere 'rattle rattle.... silence'
Engine out, head off and there is metallic particles in every oilway and engrained in every running surface, after seeing this im not even going to bother...
Guys,
I just read this http://www.cliosport.net/threads/steering-rack-is-it-broke.731422/
Someone there had an issue with the bottom UJ on column, but the steering seemed to act immediately, like me.
Now, how do I remove the big rubber gaito r without ruining it?
Cheers
Looking down at the driver side wheel, it moves immediately when turning steering wheel ever so slightly:weary: certainly one of those rare moments when you are disappointed that something isn't broken...
I'm guessing checking all the alignment is next I suppose, I presume if something was...
Hi guys,
I can't seem to shake this steering issue, it feels like it doesn't start to steer straight away if that makes sense, in a straight line I can move the wheel 15-20 degrees side to side without any steering or roll action which you'd expect, nothing. I'm lose to putting the car in the...
Gordian blue 182 2004, mot till June, both cup packs, 70k
Now, the guy wants 2650 for it however the last cambelt was in august 2010. He claims the last owner had it done in 2013.
any thoughts? My gut feeling is that the beld should be done again and priced accordingly.
Cheers
Whilst putting some air in my tires I noticed a 20p sized bulge on the side wall, just before the corner.
Obviously I'm annoyed because a) I'm no curb scraper and b) this means I now have to cycle everywhere for 2 weeks until I get payed :(
After looking on the net, it sees similar things have...
I need to know the bore size and taper for the cat's flange that connects to the manifold, and the pitch of the two clearance holes either side, does anyone know?
Cheers
Theres 2 16mm bolts per mounting bracket, remove all 4 and iirc you can leave the column bolt and the two captive M8's alone, make sure the rack is adequately supported :)
Re: Cavernous pothole = steering wheel not straight, pulls to the right, dodgy full l
Your lucky, I just got a letter (on very nice paper) basically telling me to f*** off!
Re: Cavernous pothole = steering wheel not straight, pulls to the right, dodgy full l
This happened to my pug hdi, bent track rod and wheel was buckled. And a 6 month vendetta with the local council which proved unfruitful.
A clios electronics dont need water to cause problems, they will break just fine without ;)
Bit of an update on the oil situ (trying to be proactive until I can get car checked over)
I checked underneath today and low and behold the sump is sodden with oil again and a few droplets on my...
This. My car is a keeper by default now. Purely because I can't justify selling something that has cost me equal to the sum I payed for it lol! (some mods too though)
I had a closer look and the oil doesn't look so old underneath, but without proper testing and conformation it could be anything above. I've cleaned off the fresh oil and got the sump looking like new, removedbthe skank foam from the undertray and cleaned it and 'borrowed' a sorbet sheet from...
I'll give it a go, might have to put it off for a while as I just noticed this http://www.powerflex.co.uk/road-series/product-details/SMI+Steering+Rack+Mount+Kit/11067.html :D :D :D
if it needs fully rebushing why not take advantage of the situation and polybush the lot for 300 ish quid, new disks and pads for rear is 100 ish (G 172 on this forum will see you right) and as someone has already said, youll grab a stainless system on here for cheap money.
Then, using a small...
I do a fair amount of miles a week tbh and it gets a thrash atleast once a week...
Never anything coming out the exhaust though, I've had a mate rev the b****cks of it whilst looking and no smoke. Also got him to drive behind whilst i booted it and no smoke...
I recently got my belts and dephaser done and got the rocker resealed, no more oil pissing out the top!
But I'm still loosing oil ffs :(
I've had a look under the car and there and there's trace on the sump, but i reckon that's aftetmath from the top leak.
Any ideas on what it could be...
Paintwork is so swirly it makes me want to vomit alot, rear damper decided it prefers the oil outside, steering rack bushes are loose like sleeve of wizard.
Hopefully my dampers arrive tommorow, then it's a weekend of shampoo, clay and menzerna! Mmmmmmmm
How much ballache are these to do, compared to engine mounts arb bushes etc? And chip, would it be fine to use an stainless bolt as I lost the steel M8 from the kit, it's an a4-80 which iirc is roughly the same as an 8.8 in tensile strength?
