I ended up buying a 197 with Recaros already fitted! Wish I could have had a set of these when I had my previous 182 though, it's things like this that can really make a difference to a car.
Thanks dablk, I seem to remember my last 182 had some proper terminators that plugged into the airbag loom to stop the light coming on, but will probably look at getting it turned off in the ECU if I retrofit some seats.
Does anyone have a pic of the seatbelt tensioner covers the Recaros have...
Stoopid question alert, but I'm looking to get another 182 and I'll need to put some Trendlines in it if I can't get one with them - in that case do I just need to remove the OEM seats from their runners, bolt these brackets to the rails, then the seat to the brackets?
Backbox sounds like its floating around but not been under there to have a look yet. Car is a bit lumpy sometimes when I start it in the morning but sorts itself out after a minute or two so not massively bothered.
Needs a wash, cobwebs growing on wing mirrors and rear wiper.
My drivers seat runner jammed all the way forward soon after I got it, I did have the runner off to see if I could fix it but nothing seemed obviously amiss so just bought a previously enjoyed one of eBay in the end (might have been Renbreakers actually) and replaced it. It seems to be a case of...
As per the title really, I bought a Connects2 adapter recently and playback from my iPhone and an iPad is like an old record, lots of pops and general noise. A replacement does the same thing, so assuming the seller hasn't just sent the same one back to me suspicion falls on the headunit itself...
Check for play in the track rod ends and tie rods, it doesn't take much play for the wheel to wander about a bit and make the car hop about. I think the rack bushes can also produce this kind of effect.
Hi All,
Ever since I got my cup packed 182 a few weeks ago the steering has been a bit odd and the car moves around a lot under breaking, the front discs looked like they'd seen better days so last weekend I changed these for new Pagid ones (pads too) from ECP. Whilst doing this I noticed the...
According to this thread the isofix bolts are M10 x 1.5 (one each side) and I think the one in the middle that holds the centre of the seatback is the same.
Cheers guys, I saw the Xcarlink kit with bluetooth after I posted so might just get one of those as I'm inpatient.
There's no thread for the MX-5, the guy who originally built it detailed it on his website HERE when I got it my Dad and I just removed a load of excess wiring, tidied a few things...
I'm looking to get a Connects2 interface so I can run my iPhone through the standard (Update List) stereo and a few that are listed on eBay mention an optional Bluetooth module for hands free but I can't find a mention of this anywhere else, on the Connect2 website, etc. Does such a thing exist?
^This. If you really want them make sure you get the HID projector headlights to run them in, otherwise you'll fail the MOT, blind other road users and won't see better due to the crap beam pattern. Not having washers for the headlights doesn't seem to be a problem, although this maybe MOT...
Front seats would definitely seem to be an easy win, having just carted a Trendline out and then back into the car - it weights a ton. I have a Sparco Rev fibreglass seat in my MX-5 and I can pick that up with one hand.
I think they are usually adjustable to take account of tolerances in both the cars and the braces manufacture. I wouldn't go winding them up so they distort the suspension mounts, the brace would probably break first anyway.
