    Alignment settings

What do people recommend for track use but also driving to the track and limited road miles. It’s been a while since I had the alignment done and these were my settings. Camber was pretty much maxed out with camber bolts.

    Clutch cable questions

Right as I have my engine out I have decided to change the clutch cable as it is easier to get to. I’ve got a Febi 172058 cable as it was massively cheaper than Renault. Just looking at the one in my 182 it looks different to the Febi but the Febi looks the same as the Renault ones advertised...

Megane RS 280 sport VS cup VS Trophy

I have a facelift trophy EDC currently on 45k miles the suspension is fine for daily driving, the screen is much nicer than the pre facelift and it also has physical buttons for the heater controls. I didn’t bother with recaros as it was standard with the alcantara heated seats (which are...

    Track day Coilovers

it’s all going to come down to budget people who can afford AST will say all others that are cheaper are s**t which in comparison they probably are but it would work the same if someone was running pro flex they could say AST are s**t. I’ve had Gaz golds on for years now with custom spring...

My current mileage, I’ve had the car about 10 years now. I don’t know why everyone seems to think a track car should be knackered.

What tyres for wet track days

I have 3 sets 🤦‍♂️ 888R’s for dry and Federal RSR and rainsports for the wet days. I have had the rainsports about 3 or 4 years now but not used them on track. The RSR is a decent tyre as it copes with rain surprisingly well, it is not as grippy as a “normal” road tyre would be but in changing...

    Roof scoop fitting

I didn’t cut a big hole instead a series of 22mm iirc holes. Get yourself a step drill for this. @NorthloopCup did his like this so I copied it 😂 I masked the roof off and positioned the scoop as central as possible measuring about 20 times but also standing back and looking at it. Mark the...

    BMW winter tyres

I’ve had Kuhmo winter craft on my previous focus RS and bought a set for the Megane trophy (not used yet) For the price they are good maybe not as good as Michelin or continental but half the price and way better than any summer tyre.

My BG 182 Track Car Build

On Monday I did a Javelin day at Donington with @Andy P it was a enjoyable day but loads of red flags at one point there was 2 red flags in 3 laps. Javelin seemed to have a free for all policy at Donington as the standard of driving was very poor mainly from the BMW drivers, there were a few...
