Hi, Just got the 172 back from the garage and have a fail point on " Macpherson strut has excessive movement at the upper attachment". I noticed this before it went for mot and put in another used topmount I had but the movement was exactly the same . i have 4 used topmounts lying around...

Hi guys, looking for a second hand radiator for a ph1 172. Does anyone know what other renault cars share the same rad ? Spent enough on the car recently so just trying to get a second hand one as cheap as possible :(

Yep, Mines the same and does the job well for the cash, gumtree has a lot of decent priced second hand ones if its only for occasional use

Thats excatly what happened to last engine haha . Cambelt ripped in 2 with shoe laces wrapped round it everywhere :-( Are you the same chip from migweb ? Going back a few years here though.

Sorted, whoever fitted the new power steering pump decided not to tighten up aux tensioner bolts and also the 3 bolts holding the pulley onto pas pump were slack too. Shouldve checked these but you live you learn . Now need a radiator though , clio ownershiop is proving a testing past time haha

Hi guys, Just been sold a set of dampers for a 172 and the rears rebound fully when pressed in but the fronts do little at all. If I push them in the the piston stays in the body of the damper if I pull them out they go in a tiny bit but not much. Both the fronts do this so is this how they...

The speedo doesnt return to "0" when switched off, so wouldi be best to remove the clocks and check the attachment at the back?
